Haven't read through the thread. Arsenal fan in peace <ok> Do you think that with Real upping the price for Higuian to £37m it might make us more tempted to push through for the Suarez deal ? Personally I don't think Higuain is worth any more than the reported £23m that we bid for him.

If we're going to spend the best part of £40m, then I'd much rather it was on Suarez. Just as long as you don't go and waste the majority of it on another Andy Carroll

Forget it. Not a chance <ok>

Would not like to sell Suarez to Gunners...and you know why.<ok>

I highly doubt we'd sell to a rival, especially for anything under £50m. And that's just going off Rodgers comments today.

Arsenal sold to United last year, there must be a crazy bid before we can sell to Arsenal.Alternatively Suarez
asked for transfer.<ok>

Yeah, but there are a couple of contributing factors in that too; Arsenal are stupid and RvP only had a year left on his contract too

You get the feeling that Arsene has a lot of power and control at Arsenal and is expected to do everything including contract renewals - could possibly explain why they constantly allow their best players to run down their contract.

If this isn't the case, then the board need to slap themselves.

If that is the case, Wenger needs to be introduced to a computer or, if you want to go really high tech, a diary! <ok>

Arsenal would never buy a player for 40mill, not a chance.
Not a hope in hell of us accepting a bid from them of 40mill either, just pushes us further away from where we want to be.

Sorry Gunners, give up the idea of Suarez tbh.

Whilst player's transfer requests have to be accepted by the clubs and do have financial implications, they do not have to be accepted. Suarez can call, fax, email or write as often as he wants to LFC notifying them of his wish to leave but it does not mean that LFC have to take any action other than to acknowledge the request.

suarez asks for transfer its great... file it, no loyalty bonus... ring up madrid and say match this...

simple.

arsenal are not big enough and frnakly they won't pay it... who did they bid on last year?...... hmmmmmm who did they buy.....

Arsenal give Wenger green light to make £40m bid for Liverpool hitman Suarez

Which apparently would activate a buy out clause??

But would he move to another PL club (even if they're in the CL) after all his comments? If he does he's even more of a **** than he is now - means he'll be a ****y ****

I just hope he ****s off abroad soon, so we know where we stand with the return in the 23mil investment...We'll make a healthy profit, but if he wasn't such a dick we would be in line for a massive profit.

I think he is going to be wise enough not to another premiership club. Considering the sticks he is going
to get from opposition supporters and players especially Liverpool, Manchester United Chelsea/Arsenal.
He made enough enemies for himself already. Liverpool fans are capable of forgiving him if he stays.<ok>

If he stays I'll support him. If he moves abroad then I won't be the slightest bit bothered. If he moves to a PL club I'll kill him.

Joke

If he had a £40m release clause it would of been activated by now. His agent would of leaked it and it would of then been a race to sign him up.
