The Gunners have had two bids rejected for the Uruguayan after the striker gave numerous interviews claiming that he wants to leave Liverpool. "My advice to Luis would be that he shouldn't leave Liverpool for Arsenal," The Mirror quotes Meireles as saying. "I know he wants to play in the Champions League and if it was Real Madrid or Bayern Munich who came for him then I could understand him wanting to leave. "In reality, though, Arsenal are not going to win the Champions League or the Premier League so it makes no sense for him. "My advice would be to have another season at Liverpool and wait for one of the top five clubs in Europe to approach him – because he is good enough for that, for sure."
