What's that got to do with what I said? He left during an 11 match ban for biting an opponent - sound familiar like? Just because some daft fans still applaud him (like they did at Anfield on Saturday) doesn't alter the fact that it's history repeating........
Don't try and twist what you said. You said "He's doing to you what he did to Groningen & Ajax, it's only going to end with 1 conclusion - he leaves." which suggests he is doing things to force a move, it had nothing to do with biting, unless of course you are claiming he bit Ivanovic to get a move?
Berbatov left to go to United ffs. Ronaldo reached an agreement with SAF that he'd give them another year Modric sulked his arse off & got his move the following summer, for £10m less than what was on the table the year prior. Rooney signed a new deal
I take your point, but I don't entirely agree. Unhappy players can be disruptive, but as I said my impression is that he'll just knuckle down and get on with it. I could be wrong. Rooney wanted to leave Utd a few years ago but carried on. Tevez pissed around with City but played well enough to ensure he was on the radar for potential buyers. There've been plenty of players who wanted to leave their clubs ( so we're led to believe) but stayed and still gave their all.
Man Utd were after Berbatov for two or three windows, they didn't let him go straight away! Again, you are twisting your own words. All these players clearly said (more so than Luis) they wanted to leave yet stayed at the respective clubs for at least one more year!
I have to give six months notice on my contract. Can't see the company waving that if I don't smile or attend a workmate's dinner. If I don't fulfil the terms of my contract (ie sulking, surliness or poor performance) I can find my contract terminated and be sued for the value of its remainder. Hope it doesn't come to this Luis.
I'm not 'twisting' anything. He forced his way out of Groningen, he did the same at Ajax & he's now doing it to you lot.
Clearly you are twisted it to include the biting Yes, he forced his way out of Groningen but not at Ajax. Clearly you have your mind set in stone though so no point in debating it. End of the matter is, Luis is a ****
You know it's weird watching that video because it made me realise we've barely heard or seen Suarez talk, sure we've received his 'comments' via the media in translation but nothing direct. If he just came out and said something, made a statement on the situation I think it would make a lot of people feel a lot better, why do these deals/situations always have to be so cloak and dagger? If he can speak a little Dutch then surely he has enough English to make his intentions known.
Berbatov went on deadline day August '08, the same window that they'd been chasing him. I've twisted **** all, read my original post again, I said that unless they'd agreed new deals - then it never ended well & it doesn't, surely you know this ffs?
It very rarely ends well whether they sign a new deal or not. However, a player must continue to perform if they want whatever it was they were sulking for. Where have the players that have sulked ended up?
If Suarez goes, it could cost us CL qualification in the next year, that's most of a loss than losing 10m off his transfer fee if that does indeed happen.
Which is the exact opposite of what you said - when a player wants to leave it never ends well. You were quick to point out at the time about the shirt burning yet now you're trying to say cos that one ended well it doesn't count?
