To be fair, I did own up in my original post, is it not reasonable to have my own opinion, many others share this view. Without wishing to be controversial I am still of the opinion that OUR club would have struggled to survive without the intervention of you know who. Just my view and no offence intended.

So why piss off the current WU season ticket holders now? (A rhetorical question as I appreciate this isn't your idea and, as has been said elsewhere, you're doing a thankless community service by trying to explain the logic).

I have absolutely no problem with differing opinions, my personal opinion makes me no better, or worse, than any other supporter. I appreciate the Allam family for how they saved the club from a difficult situation, our main difference is that because of his interventions the pro-Allams believed that he could do what he wanted regardless of what the fans thought, and myself and the other ''hooligans'' thought otherwise. I meant no offence with my post, and I certainly take none to yours - let's be honest, I have 50 years in supporting the club and you have even more - we just have different views on things. Hope you find a good seat and continue supporting for many more years.

It's really just because it's better to piss everyone off at once, rather than piss half of them off now, then piss the other half off in another years time.
 
Other clubs have managed stand moves without pissing off many people.

Some, perhaps ut even that was limited. But phasing it could have helped soften the blow.


I guess they didn't feel the need to soft soap much, given the lack of much argument for the piss poor way the last evictions were handled.

Sounds like a great customer strategy. Shall we "piss them off' now or shall we do it in two halves?
OLM, you seem to be trying to defend the undefendable, or at least explain the unexplainable (being why the Allams are such ****s toward City fans).

If they are going to move people, it's better that they do in one go, rather than having all this aggravation two seasons running.

That's not necessarily true. If they allowed extra time for the change, such as a season, there's more opportunity for it to be done in a way that doesn't piss people off. Other clubs seem to manage.

This is a great post and gets exactly to the most important issue.
We can debate all day long about the finer detail (of prices, locations, timings, etc). There's winners and losers. Some happy, some indifferent, some massively pissed off. Some in general agreement, some vehemently against.
The focus should remain on what really matters, being the owners through their approach and stupid actions, yet again tearing apart "the very fabric" (heart, soul) of 'our' club.
Absolute genius from the clueless Allams. Go, PLEASE.

I don't think there's any benefit to having something like this hanging over the club for another year, there's five months until next season, that should have been plenty of time to explain things properly and get people to get them on board with the new arrangements, though it seems we'll make things difficult for ourselves as normal.
 
It's only a seat. I'm sure everyone will get over it. The main worry is breaking up the groups of vocal support. Obviously the club wouldn't want to happen, but the individuals involved may end up moving across the price brackets.

Our club has too many whining ninnies.

You may not think there's a benefit, but I imagine those affected can see several.

It doesn't have to be 'hanging over the club'. It could be an opportunity to build and move forward.
