Very disappointed that many on here are slating a Manager before he has even joined us. How on earth do anoy of you know whether Cotterill will be a good manager or a bad one for BCFC before he has had a go.

Are you really all waiting for Alex Ferguson to announce he is coming out of retirement to join us on £500 a week.

Wake up and smell the roses, and accept that we will be lucky to get anyone half-decent based on the budget we will be giving the new manager (0) and the time the supporters are going to give him (-1 day by the looks of what is being said on here).

If Iain Dowie was the next best manager that Crystal Palace could get, why in heavens name would we be able to get someone better.

I will state now, that whoever comes in I will give them the time and support to make their name as the best Bristol City Manager since Alan Dicks.

    Snore!

There's a reason most of these managers are out of jobs. Need a fresh name with good footballing pedigree and a clean slate and new ideas to bring to the table. I don't like LJ, but Oldham saw something in him and offered him the job above all other candidates, a fair few of which are on our list.

I'd like a Di Canio/ Holloway/ Warnock 'type' as manager.

The whole club needs waking from the deep slumber induced by SOD before it's to late.

    I definitely don't want Cotterill.
Nor bloody Pemberton - where have we heard 'the performance was excellent - but lost' before.

If I had to choose I'd go for Holloway - don't worry Planksy he won't lower himself.

'you would be coating him down within 2 weeks..'

Whereas you're coating him down now. Get over it.

However if he/anyone picked Gillett it wouldn't take me 2 weeks - it would be 2 minutes.

Whatever I think of him is irrelevant, He would only need to lose 2 games and we would be back to "sack the idiot manager territory" and believe me, with him it would be as bad as you ever have seen it.

    Its not worth the problems..

It does not really matter who we want or don't want...for crying out loud, lets get behind the new manager when he/she comes in...if it is Cotterill, then we know Redprintt & others will never except him, unless he wins his first 15 games!!!

Just gone back through it, i appreciate it is a rumour, but am i missing something over on that thread.
    Some want him,some don't .

I really do not think the small minority on these forums are a true indication.
I have spoke with plenty of fans that do not use the football forums, the majority would like him here, but think he will take a higher job.

I know very, very, many city fans who have been about since the 70s, I don't know one who wants Holloway..

That is when i started following city,i have spoke with teens who only know holloway as a manager, people in there 30,40,50,60s and the majority think he would not come down to league one, however if he came and the board wanted him then it shows he is here for the job in hand.
That would show the fans that do not want him he wants the job.

He is worthy of higher than league1 status.

I am sure he will be getting offers from the championship sides that are looking for a quality manager.
