did he want the opposition to think that Longstaff would be playing up front with Wilson ???

was the game delayed ?
as I'm sure the Sheff Utd players would have pissed their pants laughing at that one

Oh wait there is.....

A false-10 is also usually a quick, offensive, technical and creative player, who is apparently playing in deeper role than a false-9 however, usually starting in the attacking midfielder position behind the striker, or occasionally as a winger, as the role is often interpreted by players who naturally play in these

Note the words naturally play in these.........

None of our players are this player!

A "false 9" was something created for teams with the likes of Messi who didn't want to play a centre forward. But in fact a false 9 is just a no.10 or 'support striker', without a striker to support. So bearing in mind a no.10 is a support striker, what is a "false" one? One who doesn't actually support the striker so hangs around midfield? More importantly, there's then nobody between the midfield and the striker.

I mean, this is the best there is to manage this club? This is what £3m buys you? This somehow 'makes sense' to Mike Ashley, Lee Charnley, Justin Barnes and Keith Bishop? All we have is a false manager.

Even with a massive amount of benefit of the doubt, he played ****ing Hendrick wide. The man is an absolute mess. He's cracked completely, imo. I think at the end of his time with Villa I recall them being livid about three left backs being on the pitch at the same time.

And false hope. I can see this becoming a meme.

Stick the word false in front of anything and it works.

False teeth!

We had 4cb last night. We ended up with a cm on rw. A cm and a rw playing false 9. A lb at lwb.

So basically 5 players playing out of position.

"That was my thinking, playing Ryan Fraser and Sean Longstaff as two false number 10s instead of Miguel Almiron and Big Joe.

"Of course, because of the games we've had I tried to pick a team with a certain freshness.

"I wanted to see if something different would work.

"In hindsight what I needed was to get in at half-time to change things around but unfortunately the red card put pay to that."

Thats our manager folks. Two false 9s in Sean and Ryan. Omfg!

Never mind the fact we liked better vs top we have all season I'll just change it
