I hate the way the argument is portrayed that we expect attacking football and we need to spend 100 million to do that. They then bring Manchester City and Chelsea into it.. its just lazy journalism and deliberately is set out to make us both unrealistic and unreasonable. ****ing sick of it.

No I wouldn't He is definitely the best we've had under Ashley in terms of results and football played. I just think its telling what Ashley has reduced fans to arguing about the merits of watching one brand of boring football over another. They talk about would you take Pardew back because they've watch years of crap. The point is we should not be talking Pardew, Bruce, Rafa etc etc. We should be talking about managers who are going to entertain us and get us thinking positive again. Ashley has finally achieved his ultimate goal. The dampening down of expectations to the point where we just settle for any piece of turd.
If we had said what Barton has said we would be classed as deluded and not knowing anything as we haven't played the game etc etc you don't have to of played the game to know how it works
I'd rather have KK back if I'm honest. Not sure how long he's been out of the game for but I'd put every ounce of my trust in him sorting this **** out over the likes of Kinnear, Pardew, Rafa etc.
Bet Darlow gets dropped even though he kept the score down and only a penalty got past him plus I expect to see Lascelles start this weekend because that's the way Bruce picks his teams ie keep changing it and something might work!
I listened to it. What he was basically saying was the club is **** (correct) because the owner is **** (correct). He was wrong in trying to defend Bruce whatsoever. He basically said he wasn't sure what he could do better......except Sheff U, Fulham, Brentford and Leeds results. There are, of course, more through the season. Not one fan thinks we should be beating L'pool. City, Leicester, Arsenal. Not one. And this is where Simon's narrative is blinkered and comes across as stupid. I even suggested we were relatively 'ok' in a couple of those matches. We could have beaten Arsenal. But the ones that Simon then pointed out completely contradict his argument that Bruce is doing as well as he can under constraints. Bruce is inescapably doing a terrible job.
We just have to sit back and let nothing unfold. It wouldn’t surprise me if SB is home now eating his bacon sandwich and cup of tea. Charnley is probably playing darts in his office. The scouting team are playing FM21 using the cheat code to identify random talent. Ashley probably didn’t even know we where playing. Nothing will happen. Until it’s to late. KK warned us all years ago. JB KN, even Jose Enrique said it when he left to go to Liverpool. The objective is not to improve but to remain.
Mate he's not under any pressure whatsoever and isn't going to be losing his job. Steve Bruce will manage this side all season.
