He really is a Grade 'A' ****. The hilarious fact is that he's not even the biggest **** of Ashley's tenure. He's probably not even top 3, as he's as much a victim of circumstance as anything else.
To be clear, however, Ashley is by far and away the biggest **** to ever own the club. And looking at McKeag or Westwood, that's some achievement. He makes me yearn for Shepherd.

Steve Nickson should be in charge as he's signing these players or at least advising Bruce.
I suspect he's responsible for max, Joelinton and Almiron..

If he is the type of fan that is ringing in to 606 with Savage and Sutton no wonder the media think we are morons and spoilt brats.
Football is a bit like politics in my mind. People assume it's this world filled with things us normal folk can't quite comprehend, being run by people with massive brains and intricate understandings of their world that mere mortals would find impossible to understand.
It's not. It's filled with arrogant tossers who think their world is impossible to understand when, in fact, most regular people would likely do a better job, if that world wasn't shut off to them in favour of jobs for the boys.
Steve Bruce is just a typical older senior manager. Out of touch, but firmly of the belief his way - encouragement, camaraderie, arm-around-the-shoulder emotional management - is right. He'll never be swayed by facts, or by details that offer an opposing view, because he has happy chats with happy players and happy chats with a happy owner/MD. Nobody but nobody can tell him he's wrong. He lost his job through abject failure at Villa, but thinks HE is the victim because they spent loads to get back to the PL. The reality, of course, is Dean Smith took the same squad to promotion by playing football. THEN they spent money.
Players have very fine margins. In a different team, Almiron would be decent. ASM could be one of the hottest players in the world. Dubravka a big name GK like Oblak. Longstaff could be another Carrick. It's genuinely very fine lines, but it's about coaching and the play on the pitch and for some reason Bruce doesn't either get it or know how to change it. It's really odd. I coach an under-9's set up locally, and even at that age you look at each individual, what they can do and work that into a system that does two things - gets results, and gets smiles. Obviously a few steps away from the PL, but I have some proper useless kids at my disposal so when they need game time, we go to 3 at the back (7-a-side, so it's what I call 'doing a Rafa'). When the better lads are on the pitch, we play to keep the ball. At no point do we not want the ball, nor want the opponent to have it. I can't believe pro footballers want to do this either, so it's why it is all just so baffling.

A team with ASM / Wilson / Almiron as a front three should not be aiming for 17th. It is literally all down to the manager, he is at fault. He doesn’t believe in his own players, has anyone noticed every-time he pays one of the players a compliment it’s countered with something negative? Steve Bruce is simply old fashioned, stubborn and plays the blame game. He is no good for this club and the sooner he’s out the door the better for all concerned. McLaren, Carver, Pardew, Bruce.. & other fans/pundits wonder why our fans haven’t been satisfied for years, there’s your ****ing answer. I’ve never seen a list of such **** names in football management.
I wish they would maul him. SB has had the luckiest ride of all managers under MA tenure. Without fans! I’m surprised there hasn’t been protests.
Someone pointed out that on things like talk sport etc the fans being interviewed always seem thick and it hit me thinking. Do the media deliberately pick the ones they WANT to represent us to make us as a group come across as stupid!
Mike ashley doesn't care what the fans think or about them and he's probably drawn to Bruce's defence because he doesn't like them either.
I think Bruce has probably around 10 games left before he's under real pressure to keep his job fron Ashley.
I actually think he's doing alright tbh.. I mean there's everyone with any common sense knew 17th is the aim, so why is that different just because he said it?
Basically the style of play is dreadful and the fans are after him and alot of it is silly.. They're twisting everything he does and says because they don't like him.
The squad he's got is far worse than our fans think... Its packed to the rafters with yesterday's run of the mill prem players with max and Wilson thrown in the mix..
Other clubs includingeeds and Villa have tomorrow's gems coming through and in fact ALL the other clubs have better players in most areas imo.
Bruce's a crap coach there's no doubt, but I honestly think our fans have an over inflated rating I our players and have their heads in the sand about how good the other clubs players are.
