Bruce has tinkered a bit but with injuries he's had his hands tied, Barmby stuck to the same XI and Pearson was a 1-0 man. with Brucie we've scored more but conceded more. But with Chester & Hobbs we should tidy up at the back. So far 8/10 from me. Would have gone with Proschwitz & Simmo/Aluko meself not a complete change of attack.
Am impressed with his signings and think he is a good manager at this level from what we have seen, didn't rate him in the Premiership. Can question his tactics sometimes but you can do that with any manager really. A plus point in his favour is that he is used to big egos with his experience not just as a manager but as a player too, arguably is better able to deal with stroppy players than Barmby.
You're forgeting this is a work in progress. If we don't go up it's not the end of the world. Hopefully he'll have a few signings, either in the January window or the Summer, lined up.
Because so far they've not been serious at all? I really do not get this mentality. It doesn't seem to matter what they do for our club or any of the many local communities/teams/organisations they financially help out, some people seem to think they're in a position to question them. It's baffling.
I think he means because we've spent **** all in about 2 years, despite going on about a top 6 budget constantly.
Yeah, apart from Proschwitz, we haven't really spent anything on transfer fees. My main point though was that our top scorer from the last two seasons has been ruled out for the season and if they want promotion this season then they are going to have to replace him.
he was brought in to gain us promotion. I fear for his job should we just miss out. He should be given NEXT season too.
I think he'll only lose his job if he has us in the bottom end of the table next season or the season after, and I can't see that happening. I'm sure he'll get the full 3 years regardless of whether he takes us up or not. Boyakasha!
You need to give him until Christmas 2013 before changing managers. Give him a chance How often do teams that change managers every season actually get promoted? Not very
I'm hoping he sticks around as he will take us up. If Norwich do **** up to Xmas and sack Hughton i can see them coming in for him.
In which case I'd happily take hughton, better manager IMO. Although I'd rather stick with Bruce for consistency and the players he could attract for us, think we're better off with Bruce, just that bought on has more tactical nouse.
League 1 dont count. Only **** sides fail to get out of there West Ham had a proper manager suited to the league Teams who have a new manager every season like us rarely achieve what they set out to A bit of patience and stability is needed
