St Georges Day is tomorrow, it's the 23rd of April every year.

Technically, yes. But according to religion it is too close to Easter, so therefore falls on the next Monday after Easter, which is the 2nd May.

We don't celebrate it anyway - councils banned street parties last year because it was deemed 'offensive' <laugh>

Did they actually do that? Or is that just some rightwing/Daily Star bullshit like the banning of England shirts last summer?

The story that West Midlands council were banning a party in Birmingham which 20,000 people were due to attend was published in the Sun last year (think what you like).

To be honest it was probably more of a health and safety thing than it actually being offensive to ban celebrating England's national day. I don't really see what offense the St. George's cross could cause
