Great , enjoyed the tunes (maybe they could book you for the half time entertainment at the KC as seen as we rarely tend to have any at the moment).
Better than the half-time draw anyway This article would be more relevant however, if it was posted on St. George's Day, which falls on 2nd May this year
Technically, yes. But according to religion it is too close to Easter, so therefore falls on the next Monday after Easter, which is the 2nd May. We don't celebrate it anyway - councils banned street parties last year because it was deemed 'offensive'
Did they actually do that? Or is that just some rightwing/Daily Star bullshit like the banning of England shirts last summer?
The story that West Midlands council were banning a party in Birmingham which 20,000 people were due to attend was published in the Sun last year (think what you like). To be honest it was probably more of a health and safety thing than it actually being offensive to ban celebrating England's national day. I don't really see what offense the St. George's cross could cause
It was the Daily Star that ran that 'council bans St Georges Day march' story and it was rubbish. http://tabloid-watch.blogspot.com/2009/04/st-george-banned-during-two-day-st.html
