SR have been absolutely woeful. I get it. Seemingly endless terrible football decisions culminating in this almighty wet **** of a season, and a second embarrassing relegation under their ownership. As fans we pour our money, time, hearts and hopes into the club, and everything on the pitch in these past two PL seasons has been far beyond what even the most pessimistic fans could have foreseen. That they seem to be making positive strides on the development of things off the pitch which should help what we all care about on the pitch in the longer term thanks to the shackles of PSR isn't a concern for the average fan so gets overlooked. And fair enough tbh. What do we care about as fans? We have to to live with the embarrassment on the pitch every single ****ing week, and that the commercial side has seen improvements? Well, who gives a **** when you support the worst ****ing side ever!
But, the guy at the top who has poured his own money into buying the club and funding us, who doesn't know anything about football so rightfully kept out of it until now, has seen how bad it is and made big changes to the way we operate as a football club. He brought a new football guy in and let him take the time to evaluate all the football operations and he has made numerous changes and new appointments. We have a new structure and new team behind the scenes which thank heavens includes a completely new recruitment team. The changes will continue with a new manager, hired by the new football guy, and what will likely be huge change in the playing staff in the summer. SR that run the football side of Saints is not the same SR that have run us into the ground and made us the biggest laughing stock in football. We all want to voice our disgust at what they've done to us, but the people making the football decisions have all changed. We won't ultimately know if the changes have been a success or not for some time, but I'm willing to wait and see because to me this is a different SR now.
