You’re obviously satisfied with the prospect of a 5th straight season at this level!
I can only assume you’re a bairn as if you think this is the norm for a proud club like ours I feel for this generation of support.
I'm as outraged as everyone else mate, I just don't **** my pants over the recruitment team using data like you because you don't understand what it means.

Of course it can but the keeper is there to command his area and he’s anything but commanding.
I’m interested to understand what makes you so satisfied with our situation? Any criticism and you have your heckles up.
If you’re satisfied then I’m pleased for you but I know I’m certainly not.
Again can you clarify the Djaku comment?

The keeper, any keep is only as confident as the defence in frony of him.

We constantly let high balls bounce, that the keepers fault?

No one is happy with our situation, but if your going to pick out a small selection, then expect to be questioned

Dajaku offers nothing, lightweight, no real pace, end product is poor and workrate is questionable.
Now Gooch ticks most of those boxes as well but he at least puts a shift in.
Saying any keeper is only as confident as those in front is nonsense mind, Pickford had an absolute shower in front of him in relegation season yet still shone like a beacon.
By the way didn’t this ‘bright new approach’ bring us Batth and Doyle?? You know those defenders youre claiming don’t inspire confidence?

It’s nothing to do with the data mate, it’s the modern day speak that they come out with, they end up sounding like a bunch of arseholes. Something else I’ve just though of as well, nearly everybody is gagging for Keane to sign, I would bet you any money you like you will not here him spouting data s hit like these modern thinking lads do.

OK thanks, confirms my thoughts.

First person onto ignore as your after reactions rather than debate

To be honest mate I couldn't give a **** if they spoke Swahili as long as we got promoted. I agree LJ sounded a prat with all his "pomo" stuff, but when we were winning games with him I didn't care one bit. The shocking performances on the pitch in the last few months haven't been because of our owner and director using "modern day speak" though have they

No mate it hasn’t but if Keane comes in he won’t be talking like that and I bet they understand him a lot easier.

That’s the difference I did care as I just didn’t see it ending well which it didn’t and I said as much.
I don’t just react to a win or a loss I give everyone a chance until I can come to an educated conclusion.
I’ve seen enough now of speakman and his recruitment to know this will end in tears.

Literally every half decent football club in the world has a data and analytics team...

This whole ****e of "Cloughie didn't need data" is unbelievably dumb

Clough was quoted as saying "I'm not equipped to manage successfully without Peter Taylor. I am the shop window and he is the goods in the back."

Taylor often complained that he was left to do all the technical stuff, research, scouting, etc, while Clough was appearing on TV, picking up awards and coming in on match days to give a team talk.

Said it before, much of the terminology Johnson and Speakman use really isn't that unusual. POMO is a term that has been used in football since at least the 70s.

Unfortunately I’m inclined to agree with you on Dajaku, he always looks he’s going to lose the ball as well. Hoping Clarke gets a start next game.

Yes Taylor was that educated pair of eyes I was talking about.

Its funny how data, the use of hard, quantifiable, reliable facts, is seen as nebulous airy-fairy nonsense. Whereas judgement by eye, gut feeling, and intuition is seen as solid, sensible, and no-nonsense.

Strange but that’s all I ever went on, can’t remember to many mistakes either <ok>

Data is important. Mr Billy Beane and co have been showing it for years. It's now just an immutable aspect of sports. Better we harness it than ignore it. A knowledgeable eye is great but it can't process and analyse everything piles of data can.

I do however agree that Speakmann could speak a bit more plainly if he wants to get much of the fanbase on side.

There's a time and a place for that kind of talk. Speaking for the benefit of the average football fan isn't it.
