It won't be a flood. There is no serious infrastructure, no history of playing, no bubbling pot of local talent. Nothing to support anything other than un- competitive games played mostly by players who are happy to forego playing at the highest level; World Cups, Euros, Champions League and the big leagues in Europe. It is nothing but a toxic cosmetic exercise.
I’m not specifically aiming this at your post pal. I’m making a point that these are not top players. Saint Maximin isn’t even a particularly good player. Full of ability and flair but very little substance. Hence he was at Newcastle when they were **** and has been moved on when they improved. There was no interest from the PL or Europe of any note in him. These are players who are good mid table PL players rinsing what they can. Mbappe laughed it off, as did Messi and as will any prime, premium players.
He has used his high profile position, in the past, for the benefit of the community. He has now decided to do what he, (and I assume), his immediate family, belive will be the best thing for himself. He has that right. He is a Pro Footballer. He has chosen to work, at his trade n Saudi Arabia. Is his decision any different to an Engineer who goes out to that region to work for a while? And while I can understand the pionts of view of his critics, I believe it is unfair to put the burdon of opposing the Saudi Political Elite onto the shoulders of a few, relatively young, footballers. That opposition SHOULD come from our Government, and from Governments around The World. THEIR SILENCE IS STAGGERING, but draws little criticism.
As much as I agree with what you are saying he took the burden on himself to be a vocal and highly visible supporter of gay rights. He has likely done this to provide for his family long term of which he certainly has the right to do so however there is no denying it comes over as massively hypocritical. Our government and sports authorities are too weak to say anything for fear of rocking the boat. All they see is the money and that will never change, certainly now that the flood gates have been opened with allowing a state to run a foreign football club.
Messi needs to be given a lot more credit for this than he gets. Because I can only imagine the money he was offered was absolutely mind blowing and he had no interest. The fact he has went to America a few months later makes me think it wasn't just down to wanting to keep playing at the top why he turned it down!
Yes it is certainly different to anyone who is sent there to work. An engineer goes and does his job. Governments trade there. This is Realpolitik and it is unreasonable to deny. The massive difference is that Henderson has went out of his way to preach, speechify and virtue signal, using his status as a footballer, captain of England and captain of Liverpool to do this. That is the difference. He is a full blown hypocrite. He can collect and count his money, and then, please, stop trying to give out noble statements, stop trying to look like the good guy leading the rest to the sunlit uplands of tolerance and acceptance. It is vomit inducing. He is entitled to money grub and massage the ego of a brutal psychopath if he wishes. But that's what he is doing. It is very different indeed to the experience of an engineer.

The Ruler of Abu Dhabi is the elected head of UAE. And while Uefa have had problems identiying a direct link in the ownership trail, for FFP purposes, they are continuing to try. So it' shouldn't have been any sort of surprise when Saudi Arabia, in effect, bought NUFC.
