Yeah, my preference would have been to go in the opposite direction: fewer iffy handball pens, not more.

What's your thing about only penalties for OGSOs or something like that? Because the old handball rule isn't coming back.

Yeah, my thing was pens for OGSOs, and indirect free kicks in the box for the ticky-tack stuff. I hate games being decided because someone had a ball ricochet off their arm or clipped a heel from a nothing situation 20 yards out.

I didn't realise a referee could affect the quality of a game. And if anything, an early goal generally makes the game more open. Whether it was a pen or not (I'm not 100% convinced it should have been) your post is very strange.
