No doubt the report is genuine but this bit makes me laugh ~
'The firm's chief executive (CEO), Tom Enders, said the firm "will have to make potentially very harmful decisions for the UK" in the event of no deal.'
Then right at the end of the report ~
'Mr Enders is due to leave the company in April.
(The Airbus board confirmed Enders will not stay beyond April 2019 amid corruption allegations in sales campaigns - as per wiki summary)

Plenty of confidence there then.

Singapore signed a free trade deal with the EU just 3 months ago, and Dyson just happens to choose Singapore. I don't think it's any coincidence!

Dyson moved their manufacturing base to Malaysia. What it highlights is that Dyson want the skills these destinations provide at lower costs. Business doing what business does ..

Shall we inspect how the EU supporting CBI members run their businesses as well?

I think you will find that the CBI historically are very very supportive of offshoring outside Britain and the EU.

I don't doubt what you said is correct. We've seen businesses time and again offshore services/manufacturing. Sometimes it results in a lower quality of end product, sometimes it doesn't. Regardless, many businesses are worried at the prospect of a no deal Brexit, and particularly having to somehow trade on WTO terms, so you can cherry pick from both sides of the argument.

Coming back to the Dyson point, I'm not sure it's very often that historically UK-based businesses suddenly move their actual head office abroad. Manufacturing, sure, but head office? I don't think it's any coincidence considering the deal that Singapore has just made with the EU.

I do not say it the CBI do. One thing the CBI do not like is regulation, the regulation of the EU. It is yourself that is cherry picking. You attempted to make a point of principle and ended up highlighting the unprincipled hypocrisy of business …

And yet, often regulation is necessary, even if businesses don't like it. Many think the laws regarding food in the EU are an example of over regulation, and yet what are the alternatives? If we were to adopt the standards of say, the USA, that would mean accepting juice cartons with no more than 5 fly eggs and no more than one maggot. One maggot in a juice carton? Sure that's fine.

I'm sure it's not perfect. The EU obviously needs some sort of reform. But judging by the success of businesses within the EU, I'd say the regulation has probably done a lot of good.

What makes you say that one part of the EU making regulations are any better than what regulations we can provide for ourselves? There is no reason why we can't emulate EUs example if required. I believe we are capable!! Clutching at straws I think Bob!!!

All of the above companies have invested in the United Kingdom over recent years, we never heard a whimper from the remoaners, Dyson are enjoying the same freedom abroad and they are crying their eyes out about it.

The 'Project Fear' syndrome is their only argument.

How do you expect us to make a free trade deal with the USA without adopting their food standards?
