There are some young guns on this forum who unfortunately don't know their history.

Celtic were the first British team to win the European Cup, with a team wholly made up of local lads, and were unquestionably the best team in the British Isles only 15-20 years ago (ask Man U and Liverpool). Rangers and Aberdeen have also won European trophies and I seem to remember City being torn a new one by Hearts(?) in a pre-season friendly the last time we went up to the PL. Yes the the SPL is a procession for Celtic (and/or Rangers when they're in it) but to talk down the quality of that league in the way some do on this forum is frankly embarrassing and people should try to remember that the prestige of the EPL is purely down to financial clout and has very little to do with actual quality.

As opposed to the SPL which is not biased towards Celtic due to their financial clout is all about their quality against other quality teams? Talking up the quality of that league is frankly ****ing stupid.

Nobody's talking it up but, to read some comments on here, your typical SPL team would struggle in the Championship which is frankly bollocks.

Can any Hull fan explain why Celtic have no competition.... Yet have competition. Do **** in europe... Yet win it.

Thanks in advance.
Do you pretend to have the same IQ as a lump of dog **** or are you genuinely stupid?

There's a difference in your Competition.

The SPL (**** Pub League): Every year, Celtic win it. **** League, **** Clubs "competing", most boring and predictable League in the World. You walk it every Season and then qualify for...

The Champions League: Because of the **** standard of football that exists within the Scottish League, Celtic every Season qualify for the CL (like many teams who dominate their ****, small, insignificant League's such as APOEL) and do ****e. You won it once back in the 1960's. That's 50 years ago mate. The English League increased in quality and ability and has left the SPL behind.

Overall Conclusion: In your "League" you have NO competition whatsoever, in the Champions League, you DO have competition and therefore do ****e. You won it once around 40/50 years ago. You're not by any chance related to Leeds/Forest fans are you? (Living in the past)

Sure, its very simple. You have no competition because you suck the life, cash and decent players out of the rest of Scottish football, to the detriment of your national team. Buying up, benching or loaning players out of the SPL to ensure there is literally no competition. In doing this, you ensure that there is no team that will challenge you for a long time, or at least til Rangers get back to helping you suck the life out of Scottish football too. To have competition, you'd need to worry someone else could win the SPL.

Recently, you do **** in Europe, you haven't won the CL for quite some time. I won't deny your history, and the whole "First British club to blah blah blah" (Im not one of those "Its British til they lose then they're Scots" folks, I firmly believe we're England, you're Scotland and we've got feck all in common), but, to say *yet win it* is funny considering recent showings, it makes you sound like a Leeds fan claiming they're champions of europe.

You're welcome baaheed.

In your opinion sure. Most peoples opinion, including some of the more astute jocks, recognise the problems in their country and that the typical SPL WOULD struggle in the Championship.

they would though... come on, have you ever been to an Spl game? it really is mediocre

If that decrepit old celtic **** hadn't of slagged off our city for no reason a few weeks back, most of these anti-celtic comments wouldn't be here.

Fair point. It would be ridiculous to point out that we won the European cup when someone points out that we "do ****".

As for your point about the English league leaving the SPL behind then it is also fair to point out that no English team in the Champions League outperformed Celtic.

So the *****'s paradox as put forward by you and your fellow ****wits visiting the Celtic board remains unanswered.

So Celtic are the best team in the world? Thanks we know you're opinion now.

how many times has an a spl team won a european competition in the last 15 years? and how many epl teams?

You are living in the past. You sound like a Leeds fan.

Would you like to shift the goalposts again or shall I wait till you make your mind up what argument you wish to have?
