"It is the feeling of CTWD that there should be fan representation on Hull City’s SAG – as other clubs have. This would allow the concerns of fans to be expressed during the consultation on each game and ensure informed input on matters such as segregation, stewarding and the amount of police present in and around the stadium.

Eh? I think they should be commenting on this and many other issues that affect fans. It was someone else posting on here saying they couldn't.
There's several different individual groups that I'm aware of that have arranged to meet Lokeren fans and make sure they see the best of Hull. It'd be nice if CTWD and/or the Club did similar.
You think we should be commenting on these issues ... yet you take a potshot when we do. OK, your call.

If I'm not mistaken, hasn't having fans on the SAG already been talked about, and we were informed that the fans would have no say on anything to do with policing, and would in fact not allowed to be present in any conversation regarding the policing?
I didn't take a pot shot, I simply asked a question as someone on the CTWD committee was asked, and said they couldn't get involved in issues until they'd had another meeting to decide what their priorities are. As they've been dormant throughout all the recent upheavals for fans, I'd no reason to doubt what was said until now. I didn't know you're anything to do with it.

There were a lot of caveats suggested, including secrecy on operational issues, but it was a tiny step further than we are.
I responded to the points you made, not the points someone else made in some other thread some other time. You said something about CTWD being on the back burner, which is wrong. We are mindful to get involved where we can make a difference - be it the name change or other matters of importance to supporters. This Lokeren issue is clearly an issue where we can have an impact - hence the blog post.
As for your last 2 comments - I don't even know who "them" are. But calling CTWD "half cocked" and "getting the wrong end of the stick" could be seen by some as further potshots. I genuinely have no idea why you are treating me or CTWD like this, but it's your right to do so I suppose.
Do you actually read what's posted, or respond to what you think someone put?
It was one of your committee members that said CTWD was inactive at present in response to being asked about potential involvement in the stand move as it affected a large number of fans. I thought at the time they were wrong. Thanks for confirming it. The silence on the move is interesting.

Out of curiosity, how did CTWD determine that Lokeren affected the fans they represent, but the stand move didn't? Was there a straw poll of members?

We didn't have any role in the stand move, it landed as a fait accompli with the season card applications and was an issue badly handled by a club administration currently unable to communicate effectively with its fans. We aim to help the club improve on that for the future - again, CTWD trying to make a difference. We do know, however, that we can't please everyone, much as we might try.

Are you genuinely on the committee or on some sort of wind up? You've quoted my post, which confirms YOU got the wrong end of the stick, and went off half cocked and have carried on in the same confused style.
Previously, it was posted that CTWD was a single issue group that was looking to merge with other groups to get a better status as a fans group. The lack of mandate and agreed priorities was offered as a reason why it was on hold until a meeting to determine its priorities.
It wasn't presented as a fait acompli at all. It had to pass through planning for a kick off, which gives time for the other issues to be looked at. Many people and groups did get some changes on an individual basis. It was said at the time that it was unfortunate the fans group chose not to get involved in any way shape or form in helping fans or looking to iron out some of the problems that were pointed out and ignored.
It's sad that a fans group, formed due to the perception that the chairman was being dictatorial, seems unwilling to find out the views of the people they're supposed to represent and tackles issues on its own agenda.

You say you're helping the club to communicate with fans, (which given this thread is its own reply), but when are CTWD publishing their plans for meeting the Lokeren fans? Will they want volunteers?
I ask because as there are several groups already meeting away fans, it could be better to co-ordinate the help as far as possible to save confusion and duplication.
What's so secret about doing **** all. Humberside Police do absolutely nothing for their charges apart from stand there with their collective fingers up their arses. The escape from Walton Street carpark would be a lot quicker if they actually did a bit of traffic control instead of just standing there and watching the frustration of the drivers.
Dutch thinks we're only doing all this because we want our egos massaged.
The nonsense about us not doing anything at the moment, is because I told him we were meeting to finalise our short and long term aims and we'd be publishing them on our new website in due course.
For the benefit of those who are interested, the short and long term aims have been prepared and will be put up for consultation with our members soon, once we can get the bloody bugs out of our new website.
Pete Curry, who hosts the SAG meetings on behalf of the council, said he had absolutely no issue with a fan representative being involved in SAG meetings and they'd look into making that a reality. The only issue he saw, was the police wanting us to leave the meeting when operational policing was being discussed. That doesn't mean policing wouldn't be discussed, we'd still be able to make our case for removing the gates outside, numbers of police in the ground etc, we just wouldn't be allowed to sit in on discussions about the police tactics at individual games.
