I really can't work out why the Allams have this tendency to run down contracts to the last few months!?!

Yes you are avoiding a pay rise for a short while but on the other hand you are literally knocking millions off of the value of an asset.

They don't know what they are doing.
When it comes to football transfers and contracts it's so amateurish it's embarrassing..
They needed someone like AP but they are so arrogant they just **** it up instead.

Celtic have emerged as leading contenders to sign Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass, 29, after he turned down a new contract offer (Daily Mail)

With all due respect Celtic struggle with matching league one and Championship salaries.

There is no way they are going to match what Snodgrass wants if it's £40k plus a week.

Here you go ...

Football columnist Peter Swan says Hull City brought their contract situation on themselves.

The writing was on the wall in the summer with Hull City's transfer activity when it comes to recruitment.

It wasn't what former manager Steve Bruce wanted, and he left, and it wasn't what many fans hope for also.

Now we are seeing talk not of players coming in during the transfer window, but talk of some who could leave the club.

Robert Snodgrass has reportedly turned down a contract offer from City and what I expect we'll see between now and the end of the season is a lot of uncertainty surrounding some players.

When a club lets a player's contract run down all they are doing is shifting the power out of their hands and into that of the players.

That's the situation the Tigers now find themselves in, with all the power resting not in the boardroom but in the hands of those players who are seeing their deals coming to an end.

If I was one of those players I'd not want to sign anything, I'd want to wait until the end of the season and see what options are open and where the club find themselves.

You can't blame the players for doing that and putting themselves in that position.

You have to blame the club for letting it get to this position in the first place.

It's going to be an issue that won't go away and one which never helps either.
Cheers SSS

Ye what was it a million quid AP paid for Dele ****ing Adebola.
Or half a million for 10 games for Dowie.

Theres no win for any club these days with players all, on the whole, been utter ****s. You all agree with wages being cut dont you? So Rob 40 grand a week but cut to twenty if we get relegated? Yes?
Whats that Rob you want 40 whatever...

So what do you do if its your money and the ****s do that??

Blame the Allams for lots of things but players contracts arent one of them.

You have no idea what contract Snodgrass has been offered. Much like Tymon's, perhaps Ehab can't decide what the offer is either...

Neither do you but as they ahve been here 6 years and sorted loads of contracts out...
Bowen had a new contract done and dusted a month ago. The stalling on the contract is from Tymons side.

You always post these things as fact, despite the evidence pointing to the exact opposite. Everyone who's dealt with Ehab has complained about him moving the goalposts. Why would we not believe Tymon when his camp makes the same claim everyone else has made about Ehab?

It's obviously just what you prefer to believe.
