I do partially agree with you, Slutsky has joined the club at a bad time:
Major players leaving
Not having a great budget
Having to bring in young inexperienced players
Massive unrest amongst fans/owners
However our problems are fundamentallying on the pitch:
We carried Henriksen for several games (... "I pick players on how they perform in training)
We stuck with the same tactics even when they did not work (our 4-3-3 was quickly found out, sit deep and be narrow, let Grosicki and Bowen come inside, hold CM will close down)
When we did change, we did not do so fully (drop to wingers but still only play one up front, even though our strikers are not strong in the air)
Then we talk about character, and lack of mental strength. Unfortunately Dawson is holding the hand of three other defenders, our key attacking outlet is in his first year of senior football. Then when we are under the cosh our manager is pacing around looking nervous, not barking out orders/encouragementor.
It'
A shame, I really like Slutsky, he seems to be a great guy, loves the club, fans and the city. He has a great footballing head and knowledge, unfortunately though, that doesn't extend to a mis-match team in a very tough league.
