agree with you about that, reckon its only a matter if time before theres a scrap in the city away end, suddenly seem to have sprung up a group of right dicks, i was going for a piss once after about 85 mins because i was desperate, and a load of chavs started chanting at me, we can see you sneaking out, etc...i shouted at them, dont remember your face from torquay away a few years ago, and they fell silent, i think somebody was trying to explain to them where torquay was <laugh>

i am 52 and i hate to sit. We always stand and by showing mutual respect between those who do, and those who dont, there's never a problem

One final word of advice, next time you think yourself better than anyone else and think about standing up right in front of them, think twice. If it's me behind you, you'll find yourself with you head ripped off and a nasty smell of sh1t coming from your neck.

I believe it comes from where Hull is - isolated / insecure etc

all i want is for the majority of city supporters to enjoy the atmosphere, i understand that some people never sing and others boo after one defeat. I just think the seating thing needs sorting as loads off people got pissed off today.
 
Funny really a 16 year old kid from Beverley trying to tell other fans exactly what they should be doing at a football match and if they should sit or stand or complain at them for not singing.
Maybe they got a bad leg or sore throat just get on with watching the game and have a little respect for your fellow tigers fans FFS and stop complaining about what other people want to do during a match.
If you want to stand and there is an old person behind you go find somewhere else to stand if you like using your legs that much :-)

I'm younger than you, mussie :emoticon-0136-giggl, just, and I used to love standing at BP and at away grounds. The problem is the politcial will to create standing areas is not there yet. When it is, it will be great for football because there are better ways to stop another Hillsborough than to force everyone to sit down.

What I don't like is arrogant clowns like this idiot who is quite prepared to ruin the game for someone else who doesn't have the same opinion as him, for whatever reason, and have no choice to be able to do anything else.

my feelings exactly. There's room for both sets of fans. The problem arises for me when dumb stewards try to impose what everyone doesnt want!

Just got back, I stood in row w on the far left. There was a group of Merkat Chavs pushing and shoving all through the match. I don't mind. I moved, but so did they. Still don't mind. It's not rocket science and nowt to get hung up on, just move! They may be half wits, but so are some of the older fans. When kids go, just stand them on a seat. It's not the pictures.
The atmosphere was strange in the first half. But then, best jumping for joy for ages!
By the way it is noticeable hat the merkats don't ever wear colours.
 
I hate the way some of our fans get on the backs of others at away games.

Stop attacking your own fans and sing for the team, instead of putting your energy into being "the big I am...."

I know he is being a bit daft here, but I feel I should point out that when I was little (not long ago), I just stood up and it wasn't a massive problem. I remember at Lincoln's Sincil Bank I had to stand on a seat to see past the crowd, but I enjoyed it. I'm sure most other adults would agree with me when thinking back to their footballing childhoods.

Agree with this though. I know a few people that age (also my age) who seem to have that exact attitude.
 
I wonder whether it would be possible for the club to split the away allocation into "Front half" and "Back half", or "Front 6 rows" etc...

There could be a general "unwritten agreement" that those who want to sit down take the front lot, and those who want to stand take the back lot. It wouldn't rule out all problems, as I imagine some who like to sit, also like higher seats, and some may not pay attention. However, it would probably help the issue.

I agree with u but think some of the people who want to sit can also move.

iwas stood at the back and there was a good mixture of young and old, stood together singing. there wasn't much room left but you could probably have found some spare seats near there anyway. I saw one child using the stand on seat tactic, worked well for the lad :)
