I can't help thinking there's an opportunity for a win win scenario there.

Engage with fans groups from both clubs to encourage them to look after their particular area of the stadium in some way, such as a swill down of the stand every now and again in return for some reward, such as a reduction in the pass, or a discount card for the store.

Clean seats, happier fans, better communication, minimal cost. What's not to like?

Yes, but are the cleaning and hygiene standards of FC fans up to ours?

****ing hell, they're moaning about the lack of live games, which is fair enough, but if you want an indication of where the fault lies, their governing body has decided that it's sensible to have fans from Castleford, St Helens, Leeds and Warrington, in a tripple header for the Semi finals with the womens rugby, all congregating at York's ground, meaning a combined capacity of 2,000.

2,000 eh, does York's new stadium have 4,000 seats?! :emoticon-0100-smile

Given I ****ed up (again) and it's at Leigh anyway, I don't think it matters. :emoticon-0111-blush :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Seemingly it's a 12,000 seater stadium, and each club get 600 tickets.

Does anybody?

It gives an indication of the pulling power their governing body feel the sport has got, when they choose a ground like Leigh to showcase their major semi-finals on national TV. The fact the fans can only think of football grounds as alternatives speaks volumes too.

Another nail in the coffin

Australia and New Zealand have pulled out of the Rugby League World Cup because of "player welfare and safety concerns" related to Covid-19.

That only leaves France who have no professional clubs, erm Scotland ( ditto), The Cook Islands ( ditto), the Isle of Wight and Papua New Guinea. Not really a 'World Cup' at all is it ?
