I think the lad was genuine and gave it his best shot....but was not good enough. Hopefully, a better goal scorer is on the way. I doubt they would release this lad without a replacement

Surprised as Jack said two days ago he was happy for him to complete the season here.
As said there must be someone ready to be announced as otherwise Sinclair going doesn't make sense.
I thought he was poor on Tuesday and maybe that was the reason Jack's had a change of heart.

Didn't see that one coming not because he was any good but just the other day Ross said he was staying. He had quality on the ball but did feck all with it.

He could face Newcastle in the f a cup !. on Saturday put Dunne in defence and O nein/9 ? where Cattermole would have been playing.

Good news, obvious he wasn't good enough, two or three others out, and we will have a squad with no visible weak links, scary. <ok>

As a striker, you're paid to score goals. Unfortunately, Sinclair just doesn't have the knack of putting the ball in the net, so not for the first time in his career, he has fallen on his sword.

I feel sympathy for the lad, but he needs to reinvent himself in another position or he risks loosing his career in professional football because he ain't no striker or centre forward.

Disagree to the point, bringing teammates into the game further up the pitch and getting more goal out of them is just as important. This is why in the modern game you can get 15+ goals out of wide men and cm's. Unfortunately he wasn't very good at that either lol

Agreed Bri, but we've had far too many alleged 'strikers' at our club in recent years that need to be prosecuted under the trades description act :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Not good enough, correct decision

Absolutely this

Sad thing is I watched him on the opening day and thought "yeah this lad is useful" - He looked so up for it before he had to go off.

Wonder if it's all in his head - he probably came expecting to be first choice then Maja has hit the ground sprinting and his head has gone down as he ended up reduced to bit part.

Then he doesn't have the required mentality to play football at a high level.

That would spur most players on to prove a point. He didn't.

Completely agree with this. We huffed and puffed in midfield against Charlton on the opening day without threatening them. Sinclair's presence in the 2nd half meant that we went more direct. He was certainly putting himself about. It was a game-changing substitution.

The next time I saw him was against Wycombe and he had zero impact on the game.
