Love that the Swansea bloke tried to wind us up by saying Silva needs better players than he had here to compete.

I mean. Yeah. That's what we've been saying.

One for the conspiracists.

MS knew Porto were after him but knew they wouldn't pay compensation, he didn't want the automatic extension in his City contract triggering, so he puts out duff teams for Sunderland and CP.

No I don't believe it either but stranger things have surely happened.

But he didn't put out duff teams. We just played **** which is what happens sometimes. Especially when your players aren't very good. Doesn't always have to be down to team selection or formation.

The worst thing that every happened to us this season was winning our first two games. It gave that inept Ehob the false hope everything was ok, then we ended up with Phelan with no backing what so ever.
A thirteen million Ryan Mason and five million on. A goalie we didn't need and four million on henricksen who's done **** all. Two Million on an injury prone kid and a Man U youth player who never played.
Apart from that

I admit to the exact same thoughts running through my head earlier today.

Yes. Let's put this lack of backing to bed. It was late and spent the wrong way, but there was a substantial pot of money there that got spent.

I remember plenty on here demanding Ehab gave Phelan the job after the start to the season. It was Phelan who was hanging out for a 3 year contract.

£22m would have got 2 decent strikers. The rest should have been loan players - like Silva did.

Steve Bruce gave his list to Ehab soon after Wembley 2016, but Ehab wiped his arse with it.
By the time Phelo got in the driving seat, there was only odds n sods left to buy/borrow.

Ehab's fault I'm afraid.
100%
Catastrophic mismanagement of the club which has cost us relegation and ridicule bordering on pity.

I don't get chippy about criticism of Silva, he obviously made mistakes, I get chippy when someone posts daft ****e.
you obviously believe that Silva is a far better manager than I believe him to be. if you could kindly point out where I have posted daft ****e other than in expressing this opinion, I'd be grateful. like I wrote, you're a chippy bastard.

So presumably you don't think being offered a job a big club makes him a good manager? He took a side with no hope and gave them a decent chance of staying up, with limited funds and a squad of players littered with injuries and low confidence. Seriously, what is your definition of good?

Makes sense for his career. Have a successful season with Porto and then see if you can get a job with a top 6 prem team.

Going to Watford or staying here are not good career moves.

Think that's basically what I said yesterday, even if some couldn't understand me.

hmm Clarence Seedorf seems a good shout
he wants to come over here and work in chumpionship.

You said he wouldn't stay with us because he had an 'overdeveloped sense of self-worth', which is ****e, he won't stay with us because he's a very successful manager who can get a better job elsewhere.

People just wanted a manager so we could push on, we'd been waiting ages for an appointment.

If we wait as long again it will be another terrible sign.
