Oh wow, that sounds amazing! Sounds like a fantastic opportunity! Best of luck with it :) How long you there for, the full year? Would probably be a better idea to sort out your accommodation first though as you say <laugh> Telling you to sort it out when you get there is daft advice haha.

Nahh I've never been, would like to though. Someone we know just got back from an American placement for a year and he's planning on moving there soon.

Didn't even know it was the Durham Miners Gala, how times have changed. At one time the press would have been full of it, haven't heard a thing about it this year.
