I know mate, I know. I shouldn't complain. And I know how hard it is to get a job. Just seems like a bit of an outcast at work that's all lol
I'm sure you will get there it always takes time, I know on my work placements I have became more outgoing the longer I have been there. As for how hard it is to get a job its 3 years and counting for me since I graduated from University now.
The thing is, I can communicate with people. When I first started work, I was very shy, but not I've come out of my shell, and I'm confident. I can talk to them, and sometimes have a bit of a laugh, but there's sometimes awkward silences where I cannot join in with a group discussion and they give me weird looks, and I'm just sat there like an outcast rofl.
Maybe you should stop playing with yourself in front of them, then they might stop the funny looks and the backing away from you.
