That's what I'm doing right now, requested an account just incase it doesn't get resolved over here.
The issue i'm having with this forum is that there is only so much football you can discuss. But if you post off topic stuff on the Toon forum you piss off some of our lot, but the GC is full of lobotomised idiots who make intelligent debate impossible. They also have a beef with Toon supporters personally.
Honestly if I knew of a forum where I could chat football and there was a fully functioning general chat I would seriously consider jumping ship.

This is why I've asked Mick to make another GC, which can actually be used as a GC.
Yeah this, the GC is holding this site back, no self respecting site will have a GC that bad, its in dire need of moderation, or mass bannings!!

Err, basically the GC lot made masses of threads mocking Speed's death a few hours after we all discovered it, then Syd and Mick tried to calm them down and tell them to stop, and deleted a few of the threads, which made the GC lot a bit more angry and everyone's kicked off up there. It just got worse, everything's a bit out of control now
Syd's stepped down as super mod, Mick's pondering over what to do with GC, we're all just chilling here, the usual

The idea is good in principal but I would suggest that it is the GC clique that needs to be moved. Potential new users of this forum will click on the GC and expect it to be a propertly functioning general chat forum and not the un-moderated insult fest that it currently is. If the "real" GC is harder to find than that one then it is only serving part of the purpose.
Yeah. I did suggest to rename the current GC "Adult GC" or something. Probably not that, sounds a bit crap, but something to signify that it's likely to contain offensive posts.

Skipped the last couple of pages but I gather people are looking for a new forum? Before we moved to here a few people were talking about making their own forum, which would be class as there would be none of the twats from GC and we could keep this great community together.

I mean.. would it even be possible to have a passworded forum on this site? Like After Hours? I suppose Mick would rather that than us leaving..?

Making a forum is the tricky option. Finding an already existing forum with an empty NUFC board is the best option
That way we can all settle in there quickly with our way of forum life without disrupting any locals Sticking through it. Said it before, if Mick wants the forum to progress then GC will be sorted out one way or another.

If he doesn't have the bollocks to hand them ****s on GC a ban or find another solution then he doesn't deserve us and this forum will be history for me.
