You'll never beat the old 'wet' shave of course but circumstance can cause you to revert to electric. In my case I was put on a tablet called Warfarin (thins your blood out and help against suffering a stroke) and I was told to give the razor's with blades away. I still have a wet shave though if we are going out somewhere special but have to take it steady otherwise if I cut myself it bleeds for yonks.
Try Eliquis. Doesn't leave a very smooth finish, though.

Electric shave in the shower -all tingly.
Actually I find the best shave is when I just come in from a run with a sweaty face -must be something to do with pores being open . But it's much better than anything else , so just get a sweat on .

Had a full beard since the age of 18 and used a comb and scissors. Graduated to a beard trimmer for the next 30 years. Started going bald at the crown so the beard trimmer was used on what was left. Receding from the front meant a Kojak was necessary. The full beard was then reduced to a goatee and safety razors were used. Now shave every other day, shower gel for lather and a cheap twin blade which lasts about 3 weeks. If I leave the growth for longer than 3 days then I use an electric before the wet shave. At this moment into my 4th day of beard growth, still shaving the old bonce, going to see what a months full beard growth looks like. I know it will be grey.

I used to have an electric shave but it started giving me razor burn and it was never really a close shave. I've had a wet shave for over a year now and I just got this for Christmas.

My old electric shaver has been relegated to pube-trimmer.

What is the battery power for?

I never have a close shave due to the rash it causes on my neck / under chin . So I use a beard trimmer n a razor for the stray bits on my neck ... Pesky buggers

I got one of those for Xmas a couple of years ago. They're ****.

Always wet shave and not multi cartridge crap. Use a safety razor with razor blades and decent cream. I favour Taylor of Old Bond Street cream. Don't forget a decent hog hair brush or badger if you can afford one. Loads of prep and take your time.
