I use a Philishave that you can use wet, which gives really good results on my face. It's still crap for neck stubble though, I tend to proper wet shave that when I notice it getting out of hand.
Non-hipster beard trimmer & a wet shave, always.

Wet shave every time. Electric shavers are terrible and never seem to shave cleanly, and my electric shaver is a decent one allegedly. Doesn't matter at the moment though as I grew a beard over Christmas and haven't bothered shaving it off yet, just crop it with a number one on the Wahl clippers, job sorted.
I use the electrickery but for many years used a blade producing blood at least once a week.
Since the age of 13/14 I`ve been wet shaving, tried electric a couple of times, but always found that 1) i could never get as close a shave and 2) it used to irritate the **** out of my neck. As for the time thing, I`ve been doing it that long it`s just as quick as an electric.
Wet all my life, never done electric, don't see the point. Almost always in the shower with a disposal multi-blade - works good enough. One Christmas present was a 'gentleman's groom' at a proper man's grooming place - hair cut, hot towels and straight razor etc. Looking forward to that, need to get scruffy for a few days first though.
My knowledge of an electric shave doesn't go much further than what Victor Kiam told me.

I wouldn't bother with a cut throat shave. Its the hot towel and face massage that makes the shave better. Most use a safety razor now. The last barber shave and hair cut, I had cost £60.
Use an electric over the past few years but the last couple of years I've started using the double edged blades in a Merkur slant bar razor. It took a bit of getting used to but it's the closest shave you'll ever get.
