Yeh I'm not sure about this either. It's all very well licking your lips at the money but you can't guarrantee that you'll bring someone who will work in. I'd be more excited at selling Jelavic.

I don't particularly. But wishing a serious injury on a player who's been here 8 months will be playing football for a different club is ridiculous.
What's interesting is that we don't want him to leave, yet the majority of the Southampton board don't want him. They're hoping either the deal falls through, the fee is a lot less than £12m or he's signed alongside "better/more exciting attacking talent".
To me it read more like Long has got the hump because city want to sell him rather than him pushing for a move - no need to slag him off without facts ffs
