Hmm, it seems Shane has deleted his Twitter bio. Can't remember what it said before but suspect it was something like "Footballer for Hull City"
The Southampton board don't believe it's 12m.
They believe it's much less and apparently one of them is in the know.
That makes it a whole lot worse if it's true. Much less would imply that it's below £10M, which begs the question: what is the f**ing point? We've essentially got rid of our best striker for a ****ty profit right before the opening day of the Premier League season. Whoever made this call has ****ed up big time in my opinion.
Yeah.
I don't remember his background image being him playing for Ireland either.
That'd bollocks. That doesnt make a good finisher what about the chances he's missed, the amount of goals he scored last season says otherwise.
Based on your logic Mark Oxley is a decent finisher
Which is why I would think that it is not infact far below 12 mill. What would be the point in selling him for anything below 10 mill.
He no longer follows the club on twitter anymore either.
So he hasn't even waited until it was made official? Thanks for the four goals Shane, don't let the door hit you on the way out you utter ****.
His goals kept us up, he did what he was brought in to do. If we get a fair profit then so be it. I'd rather see him stay, but this has to be one of the oddest transfer moves we've been involved in, and I thought the David Livermore one was odd.
So in your eyes, a decent finisher puts away every single opportunity in front of him? If he could do that, it would in fact make him the greatest striker in the world. He got 4 goals and was our joint top scorer with Jelavic, his goals were really well taken and, now that Fryatt has gone, is probably the best finisher at the club. He'd have scored against Trencin last week had the keeper not made two really good saves; keepers do make saves, you realise that don't you? It's what they're there to do.
What about the chances he's missed....bloody hell, was that a serious question?
