Something i heard on SWF, not that it was majored on, just that there had been some discussions.

It doesn’t mean we aren’t going to buy others, i wonder if we are moving AA on (part of the issue is not settling down here), and keep Shane for his place, whilst buying another 1st choice.
Hmmmm maybe. I doubt we will shift Armstrong after only 1 season, unless he’s unhappy. Seems odd though; “grown man on exorbitant salary fails to settle because Southampton is a **** hole”.

I do like long but don’t feel he should be one of our three strikers. Adams Armstrong and Long- hardly gets the pulse rising for next season.

Hold on he came from Blackburn, I lived up the road from there for a couple of years….it’s a toilet of a town

Should've been gone years ago if it wasn't for a grossly overpaid contract. Nice enough guy yes, good footballer no.
Agreed but can't fault the guy's effort and commitment to the club. We all know his limitations but he only signed what was put in front of him. Not his problem if the club overpaid him or gave him one too many contracts. Anyway, this is the Shane Long appreciation thread, not the Saints board ****ed things up thread. :)
