"These things take time, effort, and a few players don't make the grade. But we're simply not in the market of buying the finished article because that's so expensive AND comes with no guarantee of success.

We don't know if we'll make Wembley, let alone win promotion, but life is short so why not enjoy the ride?!"

And there we have it with Ridiculous, he really gives not a f*** if we go up.

Meanwhile, low energy Sapper Hawtrey (Seriously Red) is claiming that “finishing 5th -8th” this season is a definite sign of progress <laugh><laugh>

That would make us the 49th -53rd best team in the English football pyramid.

Sapper Charles neglects to mention that it’s only progress if you take into account his favourite SMT delivered our worst league finish in 100 years the season before.

As always with Seriously Snoozing, inconvenient facts quickly get glossed over.

Factually he's right BUT overlooking another season in the 3rd is FAILURE.<doh>

Charles is really looking forward to “matchday 32” <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Apparently, we lost “matchday 31” yesterday.

And there’s me thinking we had lost 1-0 to Birmingham City.

"Will you please stop quoting the budget. It has, since it started, moved from 4th to 5th to 6th top budget in the third stream of the industry national competition. I cannot speak to your work experiences but a headline budget number in my world is meaningless without the substance behind it. The substance is how was it apportioned, how did each business unit spend it? What did they deliver with it? Was it value for money? The crucial sub text in this space is what exactly was the disposable budget available to the team driving core product?"

Grapevine has just hammered Ridiculous<laugh>

Ooh, I love it when people talk business...

100% irrelevant to the creation, existence and purpose of Charlton Athletic Football Club.
The clue is in the name, and has been since 1905.

We have been saying the same, albeit in rather less loquacious terms, for 18 months.

The budget is irrelevant when the people charged with spending it are incompetent.

Sandgaard for example spent well over £1.5m in transfer fees on Ronnie Schwartz, Sam Lavelle, Scott Fraser & Charlie Kirk - all duds. Sandgaard’s unqualified son was in charge of player scouting at the time.

It has not been much better under this mob.

There is a list elsewhere of the 26 signings made by Andy Scott during his tenure. Only 6 of these, barely 25%, could be called a success. Your budget is irrelevant when you have a 25% success rate with recruitment.

Seriously Red and Mundell have aligned themselves with Mathven and his fatuous schemes because they are nerds, and want to be seen as outriders for chuff like 8-8-8.

More rambling nonsense from Ridiculous today, what does it even mean and what is he trying to say?

This guy exists in some sort of parallel universe, supporting a club that has no history of selling its best young players to the benefit only of the owner at the time.
