I agree with that. This is a good thing whether you trust Donald or not. He's clearly got checks and balances in place, and by the sound of it has put money in where he had previously been reluctant to. I trust these chaps 1,000% to keep an eye on things.
To be fair to him I think he just overstated the snippet he had. It's not a takeover. But the investment has materialized.
Let's not gripe about who knew what. It's a good day. Let's just be happy about it and hope the future is bright.... it couldn't get much darker.

FPP have invested in the club, still a bit vague on the details. More to follow I presume.
Gerrin. Personally, don't really care about the details of the 8 figure investment, how it's structured, or what it gets called in the accounts. I'm really pleased we've got some dollars to spend on getting the club's infrastructure on a better footing. Hopefully get some quality scouts and youth coaches on board and become a production powerhouse of local talent. Although I wouldn't be against setting some of it to one side to get Watmore some bionic legs, just like that Steve Austin lad had.
How? He has been saying investment for the last two weeks before the echo said it was close he also said 4mil investment 4x3 = 12mil
Looking forward to reading the next chapter tomorrow, and putting a bit more meat on the bones. Particularly interested in team strengthening, the scouting network and how the academy will be overhauled. Exciting times ahead IMO. No way FPP won't be keeping a close eye on how the money is being utilised. May even be one of their people brought in to oversee everything.

What's being said like? I seen that PhilSAFC being a bit of a bellend when looked before.
I'm buzzing me onto second can on total sport on sure I heard they have invested an 8 figure sum into the club for the academy and recruitment side etc.
Does that not affect FFP as it's not on players and on actual infrastructure?
Really buzzing going to book me and the youngins ticket now for the weekend!

Understandable to a degree, mistakes have been made. But I'm glad the lads with the 8 figure investment have a bit more faith than you do. They must have liked what Donald and Methven had to say and what their plans were otherwise they would have kept their big fat American wallets firmly shut.
Think we're yet to appoint a new MD wouldn't be surprised if they were the yanks choice.
A lot are saying but it’s not a takeover. I truly can’t remember any one from the club talking about a takeover rather than investment. I’m very happy to be proved wrong though
