Today’s news is great news and hopefully just the beginning.
We needed this news as too many people were turning against Donald and Methven.
Have to admit, I was starting to think it was not happening.
So, it’s happened and hopefully everyone will now get behind the new management team and the players who need to get their act together.

Brilliant news mate onward and upwards!

Meh got no time for people like that who argue for the sake of it.. We should all be happy!

I'm bloody buzzing tbh considering where they are wanting to invest we are setting solid foundations. It won't change instantly but Rome wasn't build in a day.

Also they say it's an 8 figure sum that has been invested so surely that has got to be at least 100m?
That's a 9 figure sum

Sorry seen someone picked up on it

I have tweeted Chris Waters for you, if he replies I will let you know mate

Ah spot on thank you very much mate!

Don't have a twitter account but that's greatly appreciated. I don't mind paying a bit extra if he can enjoy it more especially when we score!

Yea just found out but still happy though we are on the way up I can feel it.

These guy's aren't idiots they are elite level businessmen who will have many contacts, hopefully they will invest want SD, JS and CM to do so equally but looking to become the major shareholders once we hit the Championship/Premiership (hopefully)

We are going to be taking the scenic route back and I'm looking forward to it.

He will he loves it, he's not actually my bairn just call him the youngin as he's my nephew but his dad is a bit of an arse so he looks up to me.

His dad is also a mag but I have converted the youngin to a lads fan, feel great pride in doing so and I know my dad will be looking down saying well done son to myself :emoticon-0100-smile

Only thing is he maybe on some part of the spectrum of autism you can't tell but when it gets too loud he doesn't like it. Had to leave early on the Wimbledon game so missed the last goal hence why wouldn't mind looking into those sensory rooms for him.

Right mate. My daughter has Downs, and went to Portland Academy. There were a few kids in there with that type of autism, so I know what you mean.

Both my daughters are over 21 now, and both season card holders. The youngest one with Downs gets so excited when we score, she gets a coughing fit, and we often have to take her downstairs to compose herself.

Well done for converting your nephew to the 'light side'.

Did you purchase one of the rooms for her to go into for the match? If so what are they like and how much do they cost?

Thank you very much I've got a brilliant picture of him when surprised him before Wimbledon game with his first Sunderland strip. My mother even wanted a copy of it to print out for in her house.

Just enjoy

I am mate. In fact, the Cheshire cat is kicking off because I'm smiling so much, accusing me of stealing his trick he is there mate. I'm also pleased that it seems this is along the lines of long term planning with a focus on scouting and the academy set up, rather than just pissing millions on fees and wages. I'd go so far as to say it's a cracking day to be a MLF there mate.

No mate she just sits in the South East Corner with me, her sister and her sisters fiance. Loves it!

A lot are saying but it’s not a takeover. I truly can’t remember any one from the club talking about a takeover rather than investment. I’m very happy to be proved wrong though
That is my thoughts Janey, I have listened to every podcast Stewart Donald has done and read most of what has been attributed to him and I can't recall him ever using the term "takeover" and I believe he has always insisted that he was looking for investment.

And that’s why I’m struggling with those critical of it not being a takeover. I’m taking a huge investment as a positive and giving credit to those who have attracted it. Again, unless proven wrong I can’t see this being a stick to beat them with.

You're right. Somebody asked Donald a question at a talk-in at Consett, and used the word 'takeover'. Donald answered the question, but didn't contradict him, so some assumed that meant that it was a takeover, but Donald never actually said it was.
