I'm also banned for 2 months

I got a 2 month ban for showing Sima up after had to make a new username as the mods changed my password so made BigPeter.

It's up next week I think like I'll still post if don't get banned but not as much in PF as some really funny threads at times in the SMB section.

Think this site is better for Sunderland discussion as people actually talk about football and don't have grudges and snipe at people.

Plus no WUMs which is a massive bonus <cool>

Spill the beans then please...
Not much more then we already know to be honest, the dell boys were mentioned and Charlie never shot it down or changed subject, he also said it was his contacts that got them here not Netflix, The big thing I got from it all really was the investment isn't gonna be huge to start with its more about pumping money into the academy and development of our younger players, Bally was praising the Bournemouth youth set up alot and Charlie nodding in agreement, I wouldn't expect big changes in jan but I'm confident that things behind the scene will be massively improved

I'd be very happy with that build from bottom up with solid foundations this time and not ones built on sand.

That's good to hear.

I'm not surprised it was CM, he's extremely well connected and his PR firm are very well thought of across the world.

Hopefully good times are on the way, where we are living within our means and spend money wisely - all while building a squad of players to be proud of, and where coming to the games is an enjoyable experience!

Charlie was superb to be honest, very open and honest and I don't think there were many in the room who didn't believe him. Questions were raised about our young players who recently left, (Liverpool) I think it was, we legally can't sell them due to their age, however rather then wait for compo for them we have a good relationship with Liverpool and agreed a sell of fee for 2 lads, I'm guessing very small though.

Hopefully that will change if they are going to invest in the AOL and young player development. If we have the money behind us to stop the big clubs taking them (I presume academy doesn't count towards FFP) and develop them it's a base for any good club that want's to be self sufficient.

I'll be a very happy man to see us secure from ending up like Bury and progressing even if it takes a long time just to know that we are in the right hands.

Rome wasn't built in a day!

Totally agree, Bally mentioned alot of these young lads don't dream of being away to Shrewsbury and if they get the chance they go purely because we're league one right now, it's easier to keep the lads when we're in the championship or prem, also mentioned bali mumba had many big clubs looking at him and it was his parents who cooled off interest and agreed he's better off here and felt he owes the club. I was pretty pleased to hear that

I'm sad-eyed prophet and on RTG I'm sad-eyed prophet.

I too think the scouting system, recruitment and the Academy has been sadly neglected, for which the management must take responsibility.
Everyone at the club must realise that first and foremost we are a football club, and whilst external activities are important and need to be maximised, nothing is more important than performance on the field of play......nothing!

I'm pretty sure these Americans will want to be the best and therefore I am hoping that their involvement when it happens will quickly result in the establishment of some best in class excellence in every department of our club.......with the football coming first!
I cant see them coming here and taking over just to be second best.. I wouldn't if i were they.

sounds good although we need to invest in those one or two quality players in january at this level. we can' be stuck in this league for much longer.

It looks like Roger is just allowing the place to die imo.

It attracted too many people just wanting to snipe at Sunderland, the city and the people.

The Mods have too many obvious favourites who they allow to rule the roost.

It must look horrendous to outsiders looking in.
I've been messaging rocky over there a few weeks ago to pass on messages to you regarding the takeover

Quite possibly as Ellis Short spends most of his time in Florida as his son of the same name is a tennis player with a lot of potential, the group and Dell invest in Miami Marlins with a 7% stake which doesn’t appear much but the total worth of 1.5 Billion Dollars value for the franchise makes it a hefty investment. I would suggest as fellow successful businessmen their would be a good chance of them meeting and could this have led to the mention of SAFC as Ellis Short still retains a soft spot for the club .

probably more chance of them meeting every morning when they're walking the dogs on the beach, seeing as they are neighbours in Kukio Beach, Hawaii.

For what Donald and Methven have done so far there's still people slagging them...

Come on guys send us your RTG usernames so we can see we can see who you lot really are.

Saying shorts a nice lad for walking away from his debt haha laughable really...
