Spot on......if they deliver the right thing with this,they deserve huge credit. By the way,is that a hope with some substance to it...or just a random wish?

Thread originally started 27/4 and then went quiet from mid May to yesterday. Just thought I would put the record straight about it being the Americans and that CM had used the word "imminent". Was a good night with great anecdotes from Bally and a some good insight into the way they want to build up the scouting network again and a few nitbits about the academy and kids who have left/being looked at.

Would be massive if it was, even if it clarified he'd be a silent partner, but I imagine they'll leave it off. I think he'll be involved (or will get involved later, if all 3 of the blokes who manage his money are involved I'm sure he'll be kept abreast of how its going, even if it is a personal venture for the other 3), but putting his name down might just add extra money to every player we try to buy, and might create unreasonable expectations among the fans. I think they'll try to strike a balance between it sounding exciting for the fans but not overpromising/ setting us up for other clubs thinking we'll be throwing money around when it's highly likely that we won't

I'm Rocky and on RTG I'm rocky.

I think the clubs neglect of a proper scouting system 8s absolutely shambolic. The recruitment is even worse. The academy sides are shocking as well.

Donald and Co take some of the blame for that. I'm sorry if that offends anyone {I'm not really}

People are entitled to post honest opinions and everyone can respond.

I've decided not to ponder who's who, just respond to the comments.

I'm always open to have my mind changed by sensible debate ....

... I changed my mind on Short as an example.

I know I said he deserves praise, thanks for pumping north of 150m that he will never get back.
How much has donald put in?
I know he deserves praise for when after he walked he wrote off the remaining debt
When he came into the club ( after buying out the jolly paddies ) we were in serious debt and heading for the poor house. He wrote off or capitalised 60m of debt courtesy of roy keane buying ****e with no resale value.
He may not be a nice lad but he spent more than donald ever will. He stopped us going under.
The disdain some hold him in just for hiring a woman as CEO is bewildering
