Agreed, but in fairness, Donald didn't deny this part of the Nixon story (and he addressed every other part) and it's now looking like this is exactly what will happen.

All I'm saying is he's made it a point that he has to remain in charge. That's fine, but I'm just not sure it's the right thing for us as much as the right thing for him. He's never run a club in the championship, and he's not exactly made a great fist of league one with the biggest club and budget in this division for years. I hope there's
I hope there's plenty if scope for MSD to appoint people they're comfortable with if he isn't doing well in future.

That the hold up was not so much cash, but essentially who would be in charge of day to day running of the club. All been cryptic but fits with every other characterisation too.
Was that about Donald specifically though or does Davison, Ross, etc. more fit the vague staffing issues.

If Smug didn't say Donald specifically I'm not sure you should quote him as saying Donald tbf.

Anyway, it seems good news is coming. Let's just be happy about it and hope things are looking up.

He specifically said it was Donald holding the deal up.

Great news today whatever way you look at it. Once the FFP lads buy into us (initially whatever level) hopefully they will get the bug and take us whever they want to. :)

Hopefully onwards and upwards!!!

As I posted over the road, for FPP it is a long term legacy project, and it always was.

I hope this goes through swiftly and we can get back to supporting the players and PP, safe in the knowledge we have safe, stable and sufficient backing to take us back to where we all want to be - and keep us there!

Ha’way the lads!

Looking at the way they’ve done the Marlins investment, I’d suggest they absolutely want Stu involved.

It may well be that the delays have been exactly what you’d expect, financials.

A lot will be done clear as it develops I’m sure.
I always thought that some of the speculation about what they'd be doing looked way off when you looked at how they'd worked with the Marlins. I don't think they'll make a lot of fuss but they'll definitely make a difference.

He’s been ahead of every other journalist on this story since it started in mid August. Might have got details wrong at times (even our ITKs will admit to that) but he’s obviously got more insight than most

He said the takeover was off on the Tuesday then by the Sunday said it was still ongoing but hanging in the balance in an article that was debunked by the owner and now appears to have been removed on legal advice.

They're hardly gonna come in and run the day to day are they?

Makes sense that they’d want a fella who knows the game in this country and more the club in there.
