The way this is going on theres a chance they will go past the sell by date......there again.

Another senior member of the management team left 3 weeks ago because the "takeover was going through". This was before the hurdles came up though

Essentially, if Davison has gone, there's no one running the commercial side of the club. Which means there needs to be some new appointments. But I honestly don't know who that would be, MSD, other investors etc. Keep your fingers crossed Donald has chosen wisely

Seems like TD is away, couple of reliables on RTG seem to think it's done.

No idea if good or bad sign tbh

It’s a decent point m8, the grandson, Nathan, built the recycling bit of the business up from nowt, and sold it to biffa for a canny sum, £20 odd million I seem to recall, so he could be in mind, but in terms of football knowledge I wouldn’t have seen it coming, but with our club who knows!

Football knowledge would help, but in the commercial role is it necessary?

IF the rumour is true I'm suprised Davison has gone as his reputation was very good when he joined and only last week he was at a major sports expo in Twickenham

If he's gone I think it's a role for Donald tbh, not sure what else he can do

He's pretty good at saying ummmm a lot :emoticon-0105-wink:

He could be director of umms like! But other than that we don't want him near the football side, we've got a commercial and a financial person, doing fan/ community engagement isn't really a full time job for a director so if he's desperate to stay and that's been the hold up, the solution sadly might have been that Lowes or Davison had to go. As a MLF (and crucially one with a good reputation that could likely easily grab a job that pays more closer to home), he might have been the one to agree to step aside. As a director it would presumably be hard to force him out.

This makes sense and is positive, so I'm going to believe it. Mind I've had all sorts of theories that I think sound totally plausible in my head and I don't think any have happened yet, so this is probably a load of **** as well! Knowing the way this takeover has gone Davison is probably still here and it's all bollocks!

If true it's huge news. I said a while ago that I didn't see how Donald could stay; we wouldn't want him overseeing the football side where he'd admit he hasn't done well, simply doing fan engagement stuff like Chris Waters doesnt seem like a genuine role for a director. The only other thing he could do, that he's good at, is the commercial side (with a bit of the fan stuff that he likes on top) but we had Davison there who seems to have a good reputation. If Davison has gone that's the role Donald takes to stay involved.

I'll take with a pinch of salt for now mind, after all we also heard O'Brien had joined as a Director and that seems to be bollocks, but if true it must mean the Americans are coming (or, being pessimistic, that we're cutting costs even more, but let's assume it isn't that!)

Whats happened- i unplugged from the matrix for a bit ?
