Unless you work for the club or their auditors, you have no idea what they have had to put into the club already to cover payments going out. They were supposed to get £10m for NDong but didn't. They might have had to pay out for Alvarez, Kone, Khazri and who knows what else that was in the closet, that could add up to millions more.

If you don't know all the ins and outs, stop spreading rumours that he's trying to screw us over. The atmosphere is toxic enough.

Alvarez to Inter was covered in the 16-17 accounts. The final payment due on Alvarez's loss of earnings is delayed because the player wants to double it.

Ndong was £8.5m. As CM said, they ended up spending just £32m vs a £20m revenue when it had been projected at £45m+. £9m was parachute payments, and £3m... well, it could be Donald, it could be Sartori, it could be Maja... this year they claimed they actually received more money than expected from Khazri (St Etienne got into Europe) and the PL (Liverpool CL win).

The atmosphere is toxic because of him. Nobody sent him death threats ffs :D All I'm saying is he needs to pay his debt to the club and if we lose out on takeovers from the likes of MSD, it's fair to question whether that huge debt of £20m+, almost certainly closer to £30m (assuming Angela hasn't made another 'accounting error'!) now, is a sticking point.

Why does anyone care if SD used the parachute payment to buy the club. Surely that's better than a high interest loan from someone like Close Brothers. Did Short or Drumaville suffer the same kind of scrutiny from amateur accountants?

Because he claimed to have the money, and all of this money has now left the club. They have since said that they won't put it back in as it is 'not needed'

That is the problem.

I’d be very careful m8, remember if pressed the administrator has to give your details to a court. You’re indicating that the deal is close to collapse because of their malpractice. This vendetta could cost you an awful lot of money, let’s hope you’ve got an Angela to put it right.

What are you talking about? I said it was fair to question it. I didn't even question it myself, merely said that if someone did question it, then that would be fair. We don't know that the takeover is even collapsing. There's simply nothing I've said that is anything but the words of the owners.

Interesting that you have taken this track though Roppa. You've been very quick to insinuate litigious behaviour might be forthcoming.

Fair point kitten, your call as to whether you continue this but personally I wouldn’t.

I thought they said they'd put it back when needed - which is a whole different interpretation. Also bear in mind that, according to you, these "shady" characters have actually told us what they've done so they're hardly trying to hide it.

Indeed. When did I claim they were hiding it? They have said that there is 'no need' in this year, and potentially next year if we're still in L1.

I'm merely repeating their words so that people keep them in mind as context for events that happen around the club. Personally, I don't think they've done anything legally wrong at all, in fact I'll go one step further, they definitely haven't that I've seen. That doesn't mean we all have to agree that it's the best way to run the club does it? We are surely allowed to suggest ways that £8m could have been spent getting us out of this league, for example.

They said in the last podcast that it was about £20m but much less now and reducing so the time.

What's the point of moving £millions back and forth if the club don't need the money right now? If/when he sells his shares, they'll just offset the amount he owes the club against the amount he sells the shares for. No big deal.

Then please stop what appears to me to be an incitement campaign - my absolute last response to you.

So first off, I think it's important to find out what happened with the Close Bros debt. That was paid off by the club via parachute payments from April-July. Anything paid off to Short from that should have gone onto the outstanding loan balance that you cite as £20m and falling. Hopefully it has, because if it hasn't, the club has effectively paid Short to buy... itself... for Madrox!

I think the accounts will show the truth, or at least some of it. As you say, let's just wait and see in April. Will be interesting for sure.

How do you know? You got access to the accounts? I doubt it as they aren't published yet.

There’s a big hole in that though.

What was the Close Bros money used for? As if it was effectively running costs for the club, that absolutely justifies it, immediately, being paid back with parachute money.

Or are you saying Stu took that loan to buy himself a new kitchen and bathroom?

Sigh. Last post on the matter, I've said my piece, but I have cited their words on this. I'm sick of repeating that nothing I have said is different to what they have said publicly.

Just disagree and move on then. Stop your vendetta.

Anyway, £8m spent now is £8m less to spend in Championship.
