Not so sure on that tbh.

SD has stated that Ross was the man and it was difficult to sack his friend. I think a bit of pressure was put on him to sack him as part of the deal hence the quick action and the "walk the walk" comment from someone on here or over the road (can't remember who).

I would guess that this has been the biggest sticking point and fits with teh "staffing issues" alluded to by others.

Coleman was sacked before SD and co took over remember.

We'll have to beg to differ mate......whether we'll ever find out, we'll have to wait and see.

Football is becoming farcical isn't it.

All about money and, as in real life, its usually better to have some.

I've no idea what stage we're at now but, when it's all announced, I'd be surprised if Donald comes out looking great.

You still think a positive announcement is likely tomorrow?

I'd be the 0.1% then. Yeah we need to go up, but if we go up with the current ownership without investment, we're going to come straight back down as we don't have the financial means to compete in the Championship. Look at Barnsley, went up, no money, sold their best players, coming back down.

Let’s not forget Barnsley are about the 4th richest club in England.

It’s not just about money, there’s foresight and planning.

Absolutely investment is massive but promotion is the be all and end all.

He’s made a pigs ear out of it for sure, but I’m sure all with good intention.

I like the fella and think he’d remain an asset to the club.

Me too. Rather have disgustingly rich owners and another season in league 1 than a Scrooge McDuck in the Championship.

If we are approaching managers at clubs I can’t see any good news tomorrow. I was convinced this would go through purely because of the financial clout these fellas have. Just thought they’ll pick bits apart but they were so deep they’d go through with the deal.

interesting to see what’s went wrong. We won’t hear from their side so it’ll only be Donald’s word we can take but for me personally it’s damaged the way I see him and undone some of the good work he’s done prior.

It's still a possibility but may be more staggered than we'd hope.

I can only think from his totalsport interview he reiterrated that we don't need the finances now. It may be that it's just the 3 directors on companies house but a more minority share until we get to the championship.

Are you still getting info from your previous sources or has it all dried up?

At the time ALS/RR/ETC clammed up it went pretty quiet.

I could post a little more than I am but it's just not worth the flak.

I've had people sign up on 606, post nothing on the forum but send abusive pm's.

I just don't have the time to keep up with it all, I tried but it's pointless.

I may be a bit naïve here but why would you get abusive PM's?

**** them mate.

The biggest wastes of space in this day and age are the ones you never see in the flesh.

I’m sure Barnsley owners are very rich I think it’s the policy of getting in under 23 players to sell on as a profit that has knacked them

I’d take that, let’s face it we don’t need a kings ransom to get out this league and it’d be great to get these people tied in at an early stage.

I would agree with this. If they are tied in then at least we know there's the option of further investment if we get promoted.

I posted this a while back mate.

A few million to sack Ross, compo for the new man and a few in during the window.

Job done and a reevaluation.
