Bit strange no one asked about that then! I wasn't sure how much the address bit meant. Maybe it is still on target, does sound a bit like Donald had some sort of agenda tonight though, which is strange because you wouldn't think you'd **** about with these lads! Just hope it's all part of an agreed strategy!

Quite technical and legal stuff so someone would need to be well clued up to ask that and follow up if necessary

I doubt much I will say would surprise many on here.

As I’ve already said he came across really well and is clearly passionate about what he is doing at the club.

Has belief Ross is the right man, he has frustrations as we all do ie performances not as fluid as we may want but after 9 games we are top 6 with a game in hand . Not afraid to make a difficult decision if it comes to that but he doesn’t feel at that stage yet.

MSD people at game gave impression that we were further ahead in discussions than was actually the case. Work ongoing maybe 1/2 weeks. Believes we the fans will be please with what he is pursuing and deal is about the club not him or others. Has asked to stay on as he feel she can add value but if any takeover happens that isn’t his decision.

Genuinely we’ve heard most of the rest of it re scouting set up, Maja, grigg.

Repeating myself here but although no quotes/facts about the takeover I came away feeling positive

He DID NOT mention OBrien all night he didn’t have to no one asked a question about it[/QUOTE
Many thanks for that mate very much appreciated.
From bits I have read on here and over the road I thought it sounded all doom and gloom.
It sounds really positive if you ask me especially saying the fans will be pleased with the deal he us pursuing.
I think it's much much further down the line than he has made out but he obviously cant let on.
If it wasnt how could he even put a timescale of 1 to 2 weeks?

Yes, but it doesn't make me feel more confident. My understanding until this evening was that the deal was done/passed the point of no return and so on.
Surely any deal would only be done past the point of no return after the final deal is signed off and everything is exchanged?

Let's do a 'Donald' and say its 50/50 <laugh>
OK you spoke, I listened so 50/50 in some respect :emoticon-0105-wink: but it was canny to know weeks before the news broke out :emoticon-0103-cool:

It's a shame another bit of info didn't happen as I'd be £2000 richer :emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl: (though I don't doubt it was looked at though I'm not sure how much of this I can share on here though)

What gave you that idea though mate. Everything you have heard is hearsay. Second hand news. If SD and CM don't know the full story(SD's words not mine) then people on here and over the road sure as **** don't know either. Assume nothing.

The RTG trolls will readily believe any bs to discredit me but ignore genuine info that supports me.

They're a sad bunch and, hopefully, people will see this as the way a chat forum should be.
Unfortunately this is only too true Smug.

There are plenty of ordinary fans over there who have appreciated the difference between where you have passed on information you've been given and where you have made informed guesses. Unfortunately the wums either ignore our opinions (which is the best option for us) or they attack us instead as being deluded, or worse.

By the way, Mr Chuckles blames you for his ban here, saying, "The bloke obviously has an influence on the mods there or he is a mod himself."

Whatever happens Smug has said things in good faith and is a man who has Safc deep in his heart.
If it still happens, will people apologise to him? I doubt it. If it doesn't happen will people be delighted as they can win an internet argument.? I think so.
Bottom line is, no one has been lying, faith has been placed in people and the trust passed on.
I still believe it will happen.

Mr Chuckles scuttles back to a board where he's hated asking for sympathy for being banned from a board where no one liked him <laugh>

The thing is the Mods on here can spot a troll a mile off. No matter how sly & clever they think they're being they'll be watched, judged and banned. It's like the Mods are bouncers ejecting troublemakers and allowing decent people the opportunity to have fun on a happy forum. RTG exists on clicks so allow arguments to rage and wums to run riot.

Im not a Mod and have absolutely no influence on the board as testified by my bans and absences.

People like Chuckles are slightly disturbed people who go from forum to forum trying to justify their sad existence.

Would anyone miss him if he never posted again, well no because he makes no positive contribution.

He's worthless.

Same here mate.

Just when I thought all hell would break loose I asked the lad sending messages what the atmosphere was like.

od he said.

I was quite surprised tbh.

I'll post an update in the morning. Clearly the takeover couldn't be talked about, but Stewart did his best. Scripted answers, middle of the road.

Nothing that couldn't have been predicted in terms of answers, well ran, everyone had an opportunity to ask questions.

Great night though. Well done to those who made it happen and put the effort in.

Highlights of night? One poster a couple of hours ago saying they had just re-read the thread. Christ, it's taken me 2 days just to catch up.

Then Vince losing his **** (Sorry Vince) for being ignored.

Between him and Staveley they've cobbled together 3 consortiums because they don't have the money.

I'd absolutely love this consortium to buy Newcastle, it would be a total disaster.
Totally agree with this, he's basically trying to buy it 'on tick', the blokes an absolute chancer and would be a disaster for our friends up the road. As in all things, be careful what you wish for.

Sneaky look in while at work and it's like the world's ended for some. I never thought SD would say to much at the talk in (doubt he's allowed to). Hopefully we hear good news soon.

I'm reading through the latest posts on RTG with Banks (who is calling everything sh*t and saying the deal is less than 50% likely to go through) & Andrew P being all over them like a rash.

I suspect that the latter has only come across the word 'embellishing' fairly recently, as he seems to use it in almost every post, aimed at Reiver.

It's a shame though that he clearly doesn't understand it or how ironic he's being by using it, after all it was he who claimed to have posted on RTG 80,000 times a few weeks ago.

His post count is currently 79,813 and was considerably less at the time!!

I don't usually agree with banning people for personal reasons, I think we've been too hasty in banning a few mag posters in recent years, but a troll is a troll and they never change so if you guys have been having to put up their **** for years it's better to cut them off and give everyone else that left to escape them a break.

Generally speaking though the ban hammer falls too quickly on here, we aren't a precious bunch but it makes it seem like we are.
Totally disagree. I use all parts of this site and we've got the easiest going mods about.

The likes of Monty and TLG wouldn't have survived this long on other boards.

I think people were expecting him to reveal everything, if (hopefully) when it happens the MSD lads will want to announce on their terms and not have dribs and drabs cripticly let out by the current owners

He has said very little, by the sounds of it, but what he has said is a lot less positive than we expected. Sort of negatively vague. Dissappointing.
