So do you want to name these crooks.
Bain was inept but not a crook as for who the others are I'm intrigued.
Moyes was inept but not a crook.
When he was hired there was a groundswell of support for him. Short, in a show ( last gasp?) of support let him waste 34m in his disastrous season. That season was a big spend compared to many. Had short visibly interfered etc there would have been hell on. But he trusted moyes ( as most fans wanted and expected) and it backfired spectacularly. Same applies to advocaat, o'neill, bruce, keane. Bruce at least balanced the books but he bought some 5hite.
Short is an easy person to blame, but to me it is just lazy thinking.
As for byrne it was very clear during her tenure that her gender was like a target on her back. For the up and coming chauvinist a woman in a very senior role in a football club is kryptonite and so it proved. God only knows how much worse it could have been were she a person of colour as well.
Strange that even though so many on here disparaged her for her supposed lack of football understanding ( there's irony personified ) she has forged a very good reputation as a players agent since she left. People with real knowledge of the game (not social media misogynists) clearly respect and trust her
What are you dribbling on about lad?

I think this is a more of your personal ideaolgy than a general one. I believe Sunderland don't have a policy to hire strictly white males only .

It won't mate.

The Mods will sit back, observe, then act if people continually work themselves.

If people make no other 'contribution' other than engineering arguments they'll be removed.

Arguments are obviously fine on a discussion board but people need to make it an argument about the thread, not each other.
Agreed 100% ....

No need for petty infighting and derailing the thread.

What are people's expectations of what will happen after the takeover/investment?

I'm not expecting us to splurt a ton of cash (although I can dream), but rather bring more stability to the club. Build the club steadily in all areas (scouting, income generation, etc) instead of the chaos we've had over the last decade or so. I wouldn't expect the "investers" to just chuck a **** load of money at players the way Man City did.

This is what I want, to build from the ground up. We can't be a rich man or mens plaything as eventually they will get bored or the returns won't be there.

Not as exciting as buying success but makes any success more sustainable

I have 2 more weeks to work before I retire, naturally I am looking forward to it, but it would be nice if this deal gets sorted before then.
Just had a possibly daft thought, and not checked any detail. Given that Sam was mentioned as possibly helping the FFP team, do you think that with his Bolton connections he could have recommended Phil Parkinson for the job?
