Too much chopping and changing from day one, the pre season planning, if there was any, did not last for 45 minutes. The seriously bad start was not rectified and led the crisis of confidence, Ross and his backroom staff were clueless, and had no answers.
The changing the system after 1 half of our first competitive match after spending all pre season gearing up to play 3 at the back was shocking

We're slow laboured, we get bullied. We failed to sort these problems from last season.

Agreed. We were all sick of saying that we needed real physicality in the middle, some pace throughout the side and more creativity. The first two are pretty easily solved, plenty of powerful players in this league, plenty of quick players who can at least get other sides on the back foot. When we get the ball down and move it quickly we look good, but we'll do it once then resort back to lumping it forward. Our central midfielders are much of a muchness, pretty much all one paced, weak and generally not very good. Our recruitment has been nothing short of an embarrassment and we're left with a side with no identity who don't look capable of getting near the top two. We should make play offs but only because the league is ****ing ****

Youre right there we just havnt learned how to play in this division.

I'd have to disagree.

Aren't a lot of our players Div1 regulars with other clubs ?

I might be wrong - I haven't worked out how many - CBA

I'd actually add height into the mix, we must have the smallest squad in the league

Other clubs, other systems maybe. I dont know. I dont even know what system we are playing most of the time, and more importantly I dont think the players do. I dont think the departed manager even knew. This is the problem that Parkinson has to solve, hope he gets it right, I wish him well .

All Short had to do was listen to the opinions of Rangers supporters or any neutral in Scotland to know exactly where Bain's involvement would end, as it did at Rangers.
True but let's face it, all donald had to do was listen to supporters to know stendel was the the predominant favourite, just ahead of pearson/skp. It never works that way.

Stendal might have turned us down
Possibly but it seemed very quickly his odds went back as did pearson's, despite all the rumours about him wanting the job.
The point I was trying to get across is that owners etc rarely listen to outpourings from fans

I agree m8, but let’s be honest fans always think they know better than those making decisions, and obviously we don’t, otherwise we’d all be football managers. The odds are garbage it’s all about rumours and money going on to a potential winner, we all know that. I don’t think after one game we can blame the manager, we simply aren’t good enough to boss teams in this division, I’m worried at the minute that we will struggle to get top 6, let alone top 2.

We're seriously short of pace and power...

Wyke being injured is maybe a good thing as we wont have a target man. They will have to play it on the floor....

I wasn't there yesterday, I watched on a link but it didn't look pretty. We will be without Wyke and Mcgeady on Tuesday but maybe that's not a bad thing.

Youre making a dangerous assumption that he’ll have them playing a different way when in reality all that’ll happen is that we will play Watmore up front and hoof long balls at him all game.....
