Aye, hope so. Albeit I'm only being negative because being positive hasn't helped. Methvens comments about working away from his family etc don't sound like it's investment related. Like the watched kettle that never boils though, I'm hoping that by assuming it's nowt to do with the investment this time it might end up happening!
The future of any club is centered on its football operations..ie success on the field.
We arent that successful, so the manager went. Sadly the head of football operations and his man Friday remain in place

Without sounding overly cynical and again to quote mandy rice Davies ( re methven )

With all the turmoil he is hardly going to say anything negative. They come to a pay off figure and ask him to leave quietly, maybe even offer him some consulting work.
He goes.
I hope he is genuinely going of his own accord but let's face it when politicians leave suddenly and say they want to spend more time with their family we all suspect there is a huge rabbit away.

I think the club, Methven, and Donald will be doing all they can to quash rumours of a takeover/investment until it's actually gone through and confirmed. Our fanbase have already proven that we're raging fannies and get too excited at takeover reports/rumours. I think even if Davison has left due to an impending takeover, the club would come out and say it's due to personal reasons so that we don't work ourselves into a frenzy.

Strangely enough I think there are forces at work above those of donald.
Since the investment/takeover was reported as going off the boil, we have seen
Ross sacked
A new manager in ( allegedly a safe pair of hands at this level )
Donald permanently quitting twitter
Now the MD has done one ( jumped or pushed?)
4 quite big things in under a week after several weeks of fannying about and at one stage hearing interest had cooled.
I reckon there could be a new puppet master. Maybe these things were causing consternation and Donald was digging his heels in as they are all issues 'close to his heart'
All idle speculation by the way.
I await the usual suspects haranguing me for daring to suggest that something underhand may be afoot.

Personally I think the club have, if it is Parkinson, missed a huge opportunity with Kevin Phillips. He has been a legend with other Clubs besides us. His professionalism is beyond doubt and his experience is priceless. I wanted a man of his caliber and history to raise the groundswell of support
