i'm aware of that hence why i haven't said smug is full of ****e or anyrthing like that, all i said was there normally reliable posters which naturally puts doubts in your mind . I don't doubt anyone with info would intentionally put this stuff out to cause trouble but someone along the line has to be correct with there info and someone has to be wrong !

It was always ‘looking for investment’ ‘in discussions’, we span it ourselves to ‘we gonna be rich’ then it hasn’t happened and we are blaming the owners.
We are like The Sun newspaper here, we’ve made our own issues. The rumours and bullshit from our own fans has actually negatively impacted on the club and the relationship with the owners.

I think you have hit nail on the head. In RR podcasts going back ages SD always mentioned getting help not selling up #
Somewhere along the line our forums started thread titles with 'takeover' in. It might never have been on the agenda.
Now MSD may have turned up actually wanting a takeover secretly, who knows, but if SD has said no to that and stuck to his guns on investment only, then that's his prerogative as current and still relatively new owner.
# note he did also say he would not stand in the way if the right people came along if it was best for the club.
