Not alleged IMO, same goes for Wyke, their records in this division is first class.

The mistake was not made in signing players with a lack of quality but we signed players who don't fit the team and at this point don't look interested.

No doubt in my mind that Ross wanted a player like McNulty in last season and Sunderland being Sunderland we failed to do so.
A loan is a loan.
We tried 2 premier league loans and both failed.
No doubt scouting isnt up to much but the way ross sets his team up to play is not conducive to a goal poacher time.
Hoofball overall doesnt suit any team these days but that is what ross advocates and his team churns out.
It's awful and its broken

The squad has been crying out for some natural pace for god knows how long. Only watmore has any. Grigg and wyke are so slow. That’s where our recruitment has let us down badly. A bit pace and strength go a long way in this league. Even our wingers aren’t quick

The reaction to this defeat has been incredible, almost Mag like.
Yes we were terrible but it is where we are at now. See it out, we will get better although I do think a new manager is needed.

People said the same after the Charlton, Southend, Peterborough, Bolton and now Lincoln. This isn’t an over reaction at all this is a build up of shocking performances and poor results are now following.

Manager needs to be gone along with the recruitment team and a complete change of philosophy on the playing side.

Manager yes but if a new man gets a tune does the recruitment then become ok?
Many times a new manager has worked without wholesale changes.
Social media has amplified everything to unreal levels of panic.

I'd say its quite reasonable tbh.

In my case its not just a defeat, it's conformation that Ross has produced an outfit without fight, teamwork or any chance of automatic promotion.

What makes it worse, for me, is that I said that as I trudged out of the play off final.

It's the fact that I talked myself into giving Ross another chance that makes it worse.

Peterborough, Bolton and Lincoln were absolutely rotten in every way ...
... the final straw is always the hardest to bear.

I'm hoping it's a positive that Ross hasn't been sacked. Hopefully this means the takeover is in the process of being finalised as if we sacked Ross now it would be difficult to get a new manager in if ownership is up in the air :emoticon-0103-cool:

Do you think the rumours are true that there has been an agreement between current /new owners that there is no change of manager or staff until takeover is announced .?

That would make sense, otherwise a new manager could be let go as he didn't fit the new owners plans.
If it is the case then we would have to really hope this visit to the States, if he is there, is to tie up the loose ends and get this takeover over the line because I really don't want SAFC going in to another game, in 2 weeks, with Ross in charge.

Absolutely 100%, although I don't believe it needed much discussion ...
... engaging a new manger/coaches/scouts would be insane if they lasted a few weeks before the new broom sweeps them all away.

I'D like to think they'd be an announcement about Ross over the next couple of days. Get tomorrow's match out of the way, sack him then have 10 days to get a team prepared for the next game

It’s been building since the second half of the Checkatrade final. The most expensive squad ever assembled in this division and we’re too scared to play Fleetwood next weekend. It’s shocking.

Too scared..
Haway man that's ridiculous.

We have the biggest squad in the division. If we can’t handle having 3 players away on international duty then I really can’t see what other reason there is for it.

He claimed there would be undue disruption to the squad, then plays our midfielder in 3 separate positions in 40 minutes.

Flanagan isn’t first choice centre half anymore, Burge is more than capable of filling in for McLaughlin - the only issue would be at right back and even then we have so many central midfielders who can take O’Nien’s place. It’s a stupid decision based on fear.

IMO these people won't sit down on Day 1 and think 'right so we need some decent coffee around here, cuter staff uniforms for the ladies and ... errr, oh yeah how about a new manager'.

IMO they've been taking advice for months, identifying targets and having discreet approaches made.

I think the next visit, of our new overlords, will take place soon, in the UK but somewhere other than the SOL.

They've seen it, had reports done on it and had plans made about it. They don't need to see it again so I'd put my money on sonewhere like the intercontinental on Park Lane. It's discreet and easier for them, Donald & Methven and their associated legal representatives, etc.
