Oh, it’s not just THE HEADLINES with those two, is it?

There’s a reason that wiki has dropped the Fail from its ‘reliable sources’ I would guess that The Excess was never even considered.

environmentalism is a luxury of wealth

Do you think the Indian farmer struggling to feed his kids is an environmentalist?

The girl in Africa carrying water miles, getting raped on the way there and the way back?

No, it is the domain of middle class vegans who have privileged soft lives, who think the sight of a tribesman with a mobile phone is awful and an encroachment on their natural pure earthy existence

you realise there are 10s of thousands of PR firm employees, political activists and special interest groups, government employees of various countries who actively manage wiki pages?

Wiki is not and never will be a source for anything other than actual things we know to be true, like information on a law of physics.
Wiki is full of personal attacks, character assassinations, politically motivated ramblings, science denial and many other junk items

I agree with your last point but no entity set up by inter-governmental treaty is going to be fully democratic.

In all the other cases you quote it was the national government that made the decision.

There is some truth in there but it's exactly because we need to release more resources for the poor that the wealthy need to restrain their use. Every gram of carbon you use to keep your coffee warm is one that can't be used for the world's poor.

    Hardly the point.

The Fail was dropped for, and I quote, “poor fact checking, sensationalism, and outright fabrication ( a polite word for telling lies!)

Do you not think that all species are dependent on each other. If we change the environment faster than nature would change it we are inviting disaster. We have extracted in one hundred years most of that which took tens of thousands of years to get there. Denial of the accelerated growth of climate change is not only stupid it will be disastrous. Those birds will be food for other species and so on. Eventually the earth will win and we will have lost. Failure to exercise some husbandry of the planet will hasten our demise

    This is bullshit.
Indian farmers are actively replanting trees to prevent erosion, using subsurface irrigation to prevent evaporation loss. They are lobbying government to improve water management.
The whole reason why suicide amongst Indian farmers is at record highs is because their efforts to protect an environment suitable to growing crops is being undermined by global warming. Of course they ****ing care.

This is what one man achieved
    https://www.nationalgeographic.com/...-bigger-than-central-park-to-save-his-island/

Why is the girl walking miles?
Probably due to desertification and drought. It's why African countries are building the great green wall to prevent the expansion of the Sahara, it's why they are welcoming solar power that pumps running water , extends the active day and reduces the need for firewood.

    http://www.greatgreenwall.org/great-green-wall/#great-green-wall-internal

The idea that the people closest to and most impacted by environmental change are not by their very nature shapers of the land with an inherent interest in that land being sustainable is total bullshit dreamt up from a cosy centrally heated house.

No it's not, your argument is nonsense.

    1. People who struggle to feed themselves and their families do not consider environment in India (despite your dismissal of their predicament)
    upload_2018-1-17_22-59-41.png

    2. No one mentioned suicide.
    3. No one said some are not making efforts (those not at the pointy end of the stick)
4 Adverse weather is affecting indian crops (there is no link between that and human emissions, according to the IPCC, they cannot attribute weather to CO2 with any confidence as of AR5, the last IPCC report.
"Only a few studies have attempted to evaluate the role of climate change in the impacts of individual extreme weather events."

    http://www.ipcc.ch/pdf/assessment-report/ar5/wg2/WGIIAR5-Chap18_FINAL.pdf
also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Famine_in_India did global warming cause all of this too?
5 Africa has suffered drought for many centuries at different parts at different times and this has nothing to do with the girl not caring for the environment, she just cares about trying to survive

6 The Sahara is greening due to the increase of CO2 levels in the atmosphere, as shown by 30 years of satellite imaging. Again nothing to do with the topic
    upload_2018-1-17_23-11-21.png
7 The poorest parts of the world are also the most polluting.
    Poverty causes pollution
    https://www.adamsmith.org/blog/energy-environment/poverty-causes-pollution/
Your post from start to finish was complete and utter nonsense
You are indeed a loonie lefty

Fairly impressive cherry picking of evidence coupled with misunderstanding of the scientific process in a futile effort to defend your thesis.
