Just because i don't wax lyrical and get excited like you happy clapping ****ers doesn't mean i don't support the lads

Maybe a cup win and a few top half finishes with Europa league thrown in and might turn into a 'all our signings are world class' sheep but not at the moment i'm afraid!

The fact we have very little strength in depth is still very worrying for me!

Celustka may solve the RB position but the fact he hasn't even had a national team at the age of 24 worries me. Czech Republic isn't exactly the force it once was but we will see

I'm 31 and I've never had a national team. But I'm no slut. Maybe Celustka isn't a slag either. EVER THOUGHT OF THAT NEWTONLEE!?!?!?!?!

The Czechs have a very good right back in Gabre Selassie (26) who if you remember in the Euro's was ****e hot. The only other right back to get a call up recently is 27, plays for Pilzen and probably was filling in for Selassie. It's just like saying that Danny Rose is **** cos he's never had an England call up (he's 23!!!) but forgetting about Ashley Cole and Leighton Baines.

Individually, I'd take Newcastle's squad over Sunderland's if I had to choose a better squad.

Trouble is, with injuries Cabaye and Tiote got barely going last season and they looked dump in comparison to their 11/12 selves. Add that to the fact that Pardew is the worst manager in the league by a distance and you're looking at a squad not worth worrying about as an opposition. Their club is a joke from top to bottom, it just so happens that they've convinced a fair few players to play for them who have a bit of talent about them.

With Sunderland, it's kind of the opposite. You can again look at individual talent, but the true measure of a successful club is how well their players play together. Not one of you would chose Carrick and Cleverley for example as a better midfield pairing than Yaya Toure and David Silva, but when you look at the evidence, the latter didn't even get close to the United duo last season. If Paolo can get a decent level of chemistry going with your players then they'll all seem better than the NUFC players. The fact is, individually Newcastle have one of the best central midfielders in the league in Cabaye in terms of his creativity, he has stunning vision and precision on the ball but in the same way that a Dyson will suck half your house up if you use it properly, there's always going to be some idiot that just wants to stick his dick in it, then blame his kids (or European fixtures) whenever it stops working as well.

I wouldn't take that squad mate. Sunderland's has double the fitness levels and Our squad has been set up for a style that the mags squad wouldn't fit. Newcastle don't even have there own style or set up. The manager is hopeless. Look at Remy, bet he plays on the side of a front 3 and not the frontman of the 3, despite the fact he can play off the last man a 1000 times better than a clueless Cisse ever could. We are one fullback and the right CM from the perfect balance. Think we're more optimistic with good reason. I'd be happier with a bit more depth to the squad but as Newcastle proved last year, they're aren't exactly blessed with strength and depth either.



Edit: Can I just add. Cabaye showed nothing more than second season syndrome last season. Many a class player has graced the premier league, failed, Moved on and showed their class again. Cabaye has done nothing to prove he can cut it in the Premiership. Christ, James McClean had a cracking first season in the Prem so we can discount Cabaye's first season imo. If Newcastle sell him, he should be classed as a failed signing.
