People like Danny Sessegnon think Newcastle first team is better than our first team pal LOL newcastle first team is so overrated it's a joke.
Problem is that they will sell Cabbage and then they will be desperate for a replacement and the prices to them will be bumped up!
Now that's a post that just keeps on giving. Without comparing player for player, position for position etc, I'll just make a generalised view of both clubs. Black and ****e, blindly hurtling toward major problems both on the pitch due to a lack of man management and at management/ board level where there clearly is friction, despite covering over the cracks in tv interviews. Sunderland, at the start of something new, something very positive which will take time, but is the best overhaul I could have ever hoped for. Viva la revolution!
Don't judge either team off the first week. If it weren't for the sending off, I'd say our result wasn't nearly as bad as Sunderlands. Losing away to City is expected. Losing at home to Fulham, though? Fulham's away record is almost as **** as Stokes.
Against teams like Fulham you can easily be undone. We have beaten man City at home 3 Years running playing the same sort of football. We played City only about 4 weeks ago and got beat 1-0 I think Newcastle improved after the sending off. It's not the results that mattered but the manner in which the results happened. We bossed the game, played good football at times and got undone by a sucker punch (we know where we need to improve). However, Newcastle just played **** from the beginning, set their stall out wrong from the outset (playing 4-3-3) and the icing on the cake was Pardew bringing of Ben Arfa for Ameobi. After Saturday we know what we need and where we need to improve. After Monday Newcastle look leaderless, defensively they are useless and without Cabbage it'll be a long season. So much for your result not being as bad as Sunderland.
I wasn't judging the teams after one game. I was absolutely judging the setup. I know which is better. As for the first game, your result looks better on paper, but I know our supporters were happier with our play than your lot. I often pop over to your board for a chuckle and Monday night was a virtual riot over there. "sack the ****ing **** **** **** **** mother **** fat **** cockney ****" Was the general consensus. We like our manager and owner.
Going to be a long haul for both squads to be honest. Comparing squads is like comparing solid and runny ****. Waste of time and both stink!
Sigh, why do people on here always need to make it personal? -.- Is it that difficult to have a respectful discussion with each other, and not get smarmy? Fulham can be a tough side to beat, but their away record speaks for itself. Stoke are also a tough nut to crack, so maybe dropping 2pts against these sides at home every now and then isn't that big of a deal. But to lose to them is just a poor result, regardless of who you are. What has your home record got to do with our away result against City? City were infamous for dropping points and being unable to score goals away from home at times last season. City are ridiculously strong at home, and no matter if you go forward, or sit back, they know how to beat you, or to come back from a losing position. When you were 1-3 up you sat back and they came at you and could have easily made it 4/5-3. And useless without Cabaye? Any Newcastle fan will tell you that, when he hasn't been injured, he's been inconsistent. I was simply stating my opinion that, if it wasn't for the sending off, our result would have been better than yours, and you could have respectfully disagreed, but you decided to take it the wrong way, as most people do on this board, because you don't have the intelligence and/or the maturity to remove the childish emotions from the picture, and just talk like adults about football.
